Hi guys, I know I said I'd post a few jobs, but time is always lacking and these write-ups take time. I just got done doing a nice one, so I hope you enjoy!
This car belongs to one of the executives at ManWin. While that name might not ring a bell, these ones surely will: PlayBoy, Brazzers, Reality Kings, YouPorn, RedTube, PornHub etc., etc.,etc. ManWin is the company that hosts and manages all these websites, here in Montreal.
This is his "toy" and he just piked it up from the dealer second hand and wanted it to be brought back to mint condition. Enjoy.

Here's what the car looked like when I arrived at the location.
I started with the engine bay, which really wasn't that dirty. A quick wipe down with APC and then I dressed it.
Then I moved on to the interior which was not bad. I extracted the carpets, cleaned and dressed all trims and plactics. The seats were cleaned and treated with AutoGlym leather Cleaner and Balm, and windows were done with Invisible glass.
And on to the outside. Foam bath first.
Iron-X leaking from the wheels.
Then a proper wash of said wheels.
One the car was washed, it was decontaminated with Iron-X and clayed. There really wasn't much as you can see by the clay bar. This is everything that was on the car.
Once it was all decontaminated, another degreasing wash to see what was underneath all that.
As usual, I drew my line down the middle of the trunk for the test panel.
After a single quick compound pass with #105 on white. Already seeing significant results.
I finally decided to go with a good compound pass with #105 on white and polish off at the end with #205 on black.
Here are a few before and afters of the same spots, with only compounding.
Based on what Ken has once said to me in the past, my goal when polishing a car is to get it looking like it's waxed...before it even gets waxed. This was the final result after all the polishing was finished and before the paint was cleaned/sterilized.
Is that IronX just a more expensive wheel cleaner?

haha thanks guys.
Iron-X is an iron decontamination product. Basically what it does, is react with iron deposits found in paint or German cars' brake pads and brake them down to be easily washed away with little effort. The product is clear at first, but turns red/purple when it reacts with iron.
