Dyed my hair...now it's falling out...

Ok well I dyed my hair...and now it's acting really weird. It falls out more then usual and my scalp is really flakey.

I was sitting at my desk and started rubbing (lightly scratching I guess) my hair and this is what my desk looked like after

WTF? Is this supposed to happen. It's the first time I've dyed my hair. Could it be because I used cheap (more harsh?) dye? It was $2.97 from Walmart...I think it was L'oreal or something like that...or could it be the VERY dry and hot weather we're having right now?

And for anyone who cares, here is a pic of my hair...(Disregard the MySpace-ness)

All I can say is if I go into your In-n-Out in the next few days, you better be wearing a hair net. Sorry, but I can't really help you out on the whole hair dying thing. I used to work with a girl that would dye he hair every month or so because she said if she did it too often then it would fall out. But since this is your first time, IDK.

Hahah ya that would be pretty sick if starts flaking in the food...To be honest it doesnt come out unless scratching or rubbing. Im gonne get a hair cut today, maybe Ill ask about it. Could be that I left the dye in too long before washing it out..

You may have left it on too long or put too much on your scalp, or didn't rinse it out good enough. If you want to take some of the dye off your hair, wash it with Head and Shoulders Shampoo or Sunlight dish soap. They will strip out some dye.

dont worry about it. you have alot of hair. it would take alot more for you to go bald. Hair dye isnt that strong of stuff to kill your hair. I bleach my hair just about every month, and never had a problem before

Oh ok. I wasn't so worried about the hair falling out, as my scalp. It's gross more then anything heheh. Is there any easy way to not get so much on the scalp? I don't know if you can tell, but it's black as well.

Well they say that you're supposed to apply the dye about half an inch away from your scalp but I usually don't follow that. I think maybe you just used too much. Try and use a little less next time. Did you use the whole bottle?

oh [shizzle]. You should have only used maybe half the bottle, if that. For your amount of hair I would use just a little less than half.

Too much die on the scalp.

I've had my hair just about every color of the rainbow and I've never had a problem like that.

You basicly gave your scalp a chemical burn.

Its going to be like a sunburn, most of the skin will flake off and you'll be itchy and tender for a few days.

Damn man use Head and Shoulders, lol. That's the price you pay for dying your hair.
