... do it now while you still can. What happened yesterday in Tallinn might be a good excuse for Russia to attack and they might find hard to resist. There are news about Russian parliament members suggesting war declaration and Putin ending diplomatic relations with Estonia etc.
This is nuts...
Crazy. I've read that Estonia has really been taking off economicly too. Sad to here that Russia is going back to it's old ways too. I don't think they should have removed the memorial though; people tend to forget, rather quickly, how bad people in power can get.
I wouldn't mind visiting Estonia one day.

The Bronze Soldier never was a problem before. Gatherings with SU flags, flowers etc. on May 9th was an every year thing and Estonians tolerated it. But last year some people appeared there with Estonian flags and they were attacked by the mob. After that incident the monument has been constant source of social tension. Because of that government decided to remove it from downtown to more remote and appropriate location at military cemetery.
What puzzles me is how does all this concerne Russia? Or in other words, why don't they mind their own [fizzle]ing business? They did the exact same thing when their own monument was on new highway's path. They don't treat wargraves of Finnish soldiers in Karjala any better either. I think Russia is simply after our access to Baltic Sea.
I agree with the closing statement of the first article. There is no reason to have an in depth discussion on internal affairs. Russia is scraping for excuses to start some [shizzle].
