Well lets see, I have been working on making this thread here and at my other frequent forums lol.
It has def been an interesting adventure. We ended up taking only one car as I found another Mazda MX6 to buy up in WA near where I will be moving so we will be getting that for Heather (Its a nice blue V6).
So we had to ship a lot of stuff including my welder... and ended up spending 675 shipping and packing it o.O Oh well. (Renting a truck was just 1100-1300 before gas or anything else so yeah...)
Before we left I needed to put on my new front tires... this is where a fun adventure started. I decided to let Walmart do it since we were shipping all those boxes there (I was making trip after trip in the Millenia back and forth) and figured no one can screw up a tire mounting... WRONG.
They lost my lock Key. I did not notice till I was ready to leave and doing my safety check. So after packing the car full I called Walmart at about 6-6:30 (Left there about 4:45 o.O) Then I had to go in and talk to a manager... finally after trying to give me none locking lug nuts and tell me sorry they agreed to pay for a hotel and to have Pepboys remove the locks and put on new ones that were the same type as my current ones. The manager I dealt with was actually a great guy I could tell he was just dealing with those above him. He never once was rude.
So there was another day that we stayed over. After that though it has been pretty clear.
We left yesterday around 12:30 from Tucson, made a few stops for Tyler and Heather (Who decided that it would be fun to put our cat on a leash.... yeah... and to have dinner lol.
We made it to Castaic, Cali. Now its time for 900 Miles on I-5 lol. Lets see how far we can make it today! (Oh also saw a Mazda 6 V6 from AZ at our hotel, posted about it in the sightings section.)
Noticed I am 237 posts behind!!! Thats a lot to catch up on lol. Oh well I should have some time soon.
Catch ya guys later!
See below for pics, theres to many to post here lol.

Lots of fun stuff today, saw some funny signs in Cali to include a sign for an exit called "Rough and Ready Island" Could not get a pic of it in time. Got quite a few other funny things to include a video of a Celica that is just great, which I later ran into again and it got even funnier. I will wait to show you guys the pics lol.
Anyway I am tired and have atleast another few hours of driving so I am off!

I was saving Weed Cali for the funny story of meeting the Celica again, trying to take a pic of it and the guy was standing next to his truck (They were a group of weird cars) and he was changing his pants. I did not know it but when we snapped the pic he was dropping his pants LMAO so it should be very funny.
If this hotel did not have such slow internet I would upload my pics.
I saw Dike Access road too lol.
My GPS also showed me Old Oregon Trail that made me laugh, lol.

Well I am here in Rainer... and I am happy and pissed. Everything was great but just before getting here I felt and heard something like a rock hit my fender well on the passenger side.
No big deal I thought... but I was wrong. Whatever it was bent out my inner fender well... and caused the new paint to crack... Its at the seam, hard to see but now that I know about it.... I have to deal with it. It also exposed the metal inside the fender well where it hit and the cracks will cause problems when I wash it. I am sure I could deal with it but thats not like me. I also see bare metal so that means I have to do something about that.
I think I just want to redo the fender as when the painter redid the clear on it it seems he had a small problem with the glue for the same fenders M Edition logo. So I was going to have to clay bar that out anyway... not it just seems easier to repaint it but with the weather like it is here this means I need too let someone with a booth and heat room do the fender... so does anyone have any recommendations? I am not looking for the best. This was not a "Best" paint job just a paint job to clean the car up and make it uniform. I may get it nice after soap stoning it but I need it clean looking nothing more. I will provide the paint code and paint if need be. Thanks lol.
Anyway back to the trip, things seem to go well. We need to find a place now since it seems thats harder here then I thought. I also need to go get a job lol.
The car did well, she still has a high idle so I will work on that and do an oil change. What do you guys recommend here for the colder weather? Being a desert rat I am not sure what to think yet and this is normally the coldest it gets in Tucson during the winter (As it is right now here in OR). 10w40, 10w30?
That also brings me to my next issue, finding a good storage unit thats not to hard on the wallet a month.
Other then that, thats pretty much it. I am sure its not as bad on the side of the car as I feel... but I just hate seeing something that far along and have this happen... esp since I am not sure how I can fix the inner fender with primer sealer and not hurt the paint until I can redo it. I guess I will figure something out.

When we went to Deals Gap we passed a town called Riceville. We drove into town, and they had a big "Welcome to Riceville" sign on the outskirts. I had my buddy with a tricked out tC park in front of the town sign for a laugh.
I wish I could find the photo. I did a 'shop of the sign, with a little slogan at the bottom saying: "Population: You." He found that less than hysterical.
