5 car pile up, my poor bumble bee. UPDATE:PICS

Driving to my friend's for some turkey dinner tonight.

Stopped at a red light behind a silver persuit.
Crown vic behind me, and a black civic sedan behind it.

Just talkin to my gf when the light goes green. Persuit in front of my JUST starts to roll forward (im still on the brakes) when all i hear is a screech from tires behind me. A 10-15 passenger shuttle bus smokes the black civic, hits the crown vic, which in turn smokes me and i TAP the persuit as it was already in motion and a few more feet ahead.

The shuttle bus' front bumper was in the trunk of the civic almost to the back seat. The mother in front seat and the 2 kids in the back seat were taken to hospital to get checked out.
The crown victoria driver had no seat belt on and smoked his head against the steering wheel. Damage done to his rear bumper, looked to be a replacement repair.

My car is in rough shape. The bumper is pushed in, and the subframe of the trunk is bent forward toward the back seats. Impact was hard enough to put a dent in the driver's side quarter panel. Both my rear tail lights are toast since the clips and fasteners are twisted or broken off. The rear edge of the bumper skin is flush with my trunk lid (just to give an idea of how far it's pushed in).
I can't close my trunk anymore because of how mis-alined it is.

I have pics on my camera, i will post them up tomorrow or the next day.
My poor baby
im estimating between 2500-3000 bucks dmg to the car. And i hope to god that isn't a total loss for the vehicle.

Im going to the doctor tomorrow, both my gf and i have soar backs.

David

Sorry to hear about your accident man.

Some people should not be able to drive, seriously. Is it really that hard to anticipate a stop light?

well either way, it's called an accident for a reason.

It was just at the time of day where the sun was at it's worst angle for glare. However, the sun was BEHIND us and not blurring vision unless you were blinded from mirror reflection which is understandable. The woman driving the bus was shaken up and very apologetic. I felt bad for her, cuz i know what it's like to be the one at fault. But even still.
I hope i have no soft tissue damage, and that my car isn't damage too badly. I can't REALLY get a better look right now it was chilly, i had a shirt on, and it was getting dark by the time i drove the car to my buds parking lot.

Im praying that my stereo equipment doesn't get stolen (since my trunk is resting and not actually CLOSED). It looks closed, but you never know. There were no allen key bits in my tool box to remove the sub wires from the amp

Damn Dave, you just have some bad ass luck. If you need any parts just let me know. I have a full mx6 parts car that I need to get rid of. I need another mx6 in my driveway that wasn't hit by a minivan. Mine had minor front damage but the rear is perfect. Let me know what you need. After all that work you just did to your six, I feel bad that you have to do it all over again. I say paint it white this time though. Sexy time. Oh yeah and

^^^ Show some sensitivity -- adding that smiley is completely unecessary. Whether he adds pics or not does not make this thread worthless. I also can't believe your main concern is to hawk your parts. Ridiculous.

Dave, I'm really sorry to hear about the accident, that really sucks, I feel your pain. I hope you and your gf check out to be fine. Consider yourself lucky not to have been in the Civic or Crown Vic.

BShark, dude come down. I was offering him my parts, not trrying to sell them to him. So before you try to make me look like an asshole maybe you should read into it a little farther. I was upset that his car got hit because he had just got done doing all of that work to it. Out of all the people hear, you should know how hard it is to lose an mx6 that you cherish. I'm trying to get his car back on the road. And you know that the smilie was a joke, come on. You know how Dave likes to poost numerous pics of everything he does. God damn. I don't care man, this is exactly the reason why mx6.com is going down the [shizzle]ter. Dave, I hope that you, your girl, and your car are ok. Let me know what you need in terms of parts to get her on the road again. I was just trying to be helpful but I guess not.

That's horrible man. Best of luck with whatever happens. And more importantly, hope both of you are alright physically. Hope the bumble bee will live.

I think I can predict the future and say his car is a "total loss" and will low ball him. Hopefully not, but I've known a few people to go through this process, and this is what usually happens.

yea, it's looking like a total loss...
they didnt even estimate it today, they have to take it "downstairs" of the shop and strip the rear end and inspect the damage cuz of frame damage..

I said to him "what do you think??"
he said "well 4000 or so at least"

my car is done
