^ I found this article to be more heart wrenching then just about anything I've ever seen over the internet throughout the years. Its pretty miserable to see how such a stupid decision can absolutely destroy a life.
That poor girl is just living in hell right now.... and has been ever since she was 20. She'll need intense medical support all throughout her life.. no fingers, or much of anything else... she can no longer feed herself of do any semi-normal activities....
I really hope this makes anybody on here thats ever got behind the wheel after a few cold ones: to really take in to consideration that this same situation could happen to you.

It's hearwrenching, certainly. Its sad that some kids learn how to drink even *before* they learn how to drive, and in some parts of this country... theres literally nothing else to do but get drunk... and then somehow make your way home. Pathetic really.
94 mx6 - you name it - I did it, came up with it, tried it and rejected it or just plain still have it. 93 mx3 - klze, i/h/e, rims and paint.. daily driver. 98 jeep GC - 5.9L with bolt ons, lifted, locked. 32x10.5 Goodyear MTR winter/ 30x9.5 bfg ta/ko summer
Some people just dont give a [shizzle], Everytime I get drunk, even stupid piss drunk and im beligerant and cant even stand up on my own.. I alwase remember to park my car far enough from the party before hand so that If I were to walk to it, Id end up puking a dozen times or falling asleep in someones lawn, thus, sobering up a bit and realizing driving home could be the worst mistake of my life.

Yes...definately IDP!
But on a serious note...I wish that state and federal legislators would just make the DUI laws tougher. Say, attempted murder on someone who drives drunk, and make it capital murder for someone who kills someone in an accident, not this bullisht about vehicular homicide, where the guilty party can only get a MAX of 4.5 years. I bet that would curtail alot of this drunk driving bullisht
A case like this one here in Seattle is a perfect example
i saw this already and its very sad to see her suffer for the rest of her life..... on another note i dont drink and drive and please if u drive and drive please stop it now, dont sober up before u drive.... JUST DONT DRINK AND DRIVE PERIOD.... i seen too many young people die from this....
Sorry for the repost then, I've never seen this posted on this forum.... apparently I'm blind though.
I just thought I'd throw it up here considering the age of some of the people in the racing forum, I'm not too sure if or who would ever do something as dispicable as this, but regardless... I thought this would make a good warning.

i used to drink and drive when i was younger (when i wasnt even old enough) probaly from 16-19 was the worst. it wasnt until i was 21sh that i realized the seriousness of it.
i really cant believe how dumb i was. thought i would never get caught and nothing bad would ever happen.......but the first time that i drove home drunk and didnt remember it, was the last time i will ever drink and drive again. i put my life at risk, my girls life at risk, and everyone else on the road. and it was a good 20 minute drive
though nothing bad happened, i definitely changed my ways after that. its simply just not worth it. i always take a taxi no matter what from now on.......
seeing stuff like this is just sad. hell, even just talking to my friends that recently got DUIs is sad. and the penalties are getting worse every year
