don't worry, when he turns 25 it'll drop to $30,000
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The man who had nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill
Holy crap. Insurance is required in Florida, so unless he wanted to pay 50Gs a year , he wouldn't be able to legally drive.
yea, get used to taking the bus or walking your happy ass wherever you need to go. i still think its ridiculous that an insurance company can charge $50,000 (in Canadian or US dollars) on a car that can be picked up for less than $1000 running. That kind of premium seems like it belongs with cars of the European Supercar persuasion. I mean if the kid has had so many tickets, why not just drop him? I thought that after a certain amount of tickets or accidents an insurance company would drop who ever they are covering.
lol my brother's the worst driver I know. He's had prolly 7 tickets for speeding, 4 or 5 accidents, and he had so many points taken out of his license, that he was one point away from his license to be taken away completely. He's premium was liek $2K maybe? But this guy takes the cake...

Its basically their way of saying that he's uninsurable... I'm not sure about canada, but in the US, many states prohibit insurance companies from denying anyone... so instead they make the premiums so high, that its the same as saying "no"
again, since its canda, i don't know... but in the US- that car should be registered in the parents name and he listed as a driver. non collision infractions and claims are counted less if you are not the named insured, and simply an auxiliary driver in the household.
frankly though - he's 19 and had his license suspended twice. parents should sell the car and make him bum rides from friends lol.
