Do you eat healthy?

This is going to smelly and personal, I apologize.

I need to reevaluate my eating habits. My stomach is always upset and either I cant get my butt to stop draining or I cant go at all. I also sit at a desk for 9 hours a day so Im hardly proactive. I do lift a couple days a week but I dont consider that entirely active either since its not really good cardio work. So my eating habits involve either waffles, cereal or a granola bar for breakfast. Lunch varies between mac'n'cheese, chicken or turkey sandwich with some carrots, or on rare ocassion I grab taco hell when I forget lunch. Dinner is always different but overall I really just dont eat many vegetables or fruits. I have a banana and apple in there sometimes but overall my diet is pretty sucky. So my stomach is usually upset 2-3 times a week and Im getting pretty annoyed with it all. I hate being unable to go out because I have a tummy ache lol. Does anyone else deal with this? Its more of a rant than anything but Im also looking for advice on eating right. I eat a fair amount of protein because of the lifting but I think I need more fiber overall. Anyway, if anyone has suggestions Im open to ideas. Thanks!

You know the answer mate.

All you now need is the disipline. Advice wont help you [shizzle] (if you excuse the pun) because you know the problem and the solution.

Disipline. Captial "D". To do cardio/aerobic workouts and to eat correctly.

first you have to spell it right.
it's discipline.

i eat every 2-3 hours. high carb and protein. no more chips, no more fried chicken, no more latte's at starbucks.
eating less but more meals is better for your metabolism. i'm not really sure why, but i think it's because so that you only eat the necessary amount that your body needs. not overeating like most people do.

do you drink too much milk? i found that i had lactose intolerance/ enzyme deficiency in the intestines, so i switched to lactose free milk on my cereal and no more problem

otherwise to keep the digestive system moving, eat plenty of vegetables ie fibre and do situps and some walking or other cardio

Eating every 3-4 hours is supposed to keep your body in a constant state of work and makes your metabolism keep working thru the whole day versus just pounding 3 burgers twice a day. Ive been told its good to have a small dose of protein before bed to keep your metabolism working thru the night. This makes me a little tired during the day tho, I think it wears you down from your body constantly working.

Im sure some discipline would help me cause. I think I need to exercise more for sure! I used to jog but when winter hit that stopped and now Im just lazy or have computer work to do after the 9-5 job.

First you need to drink alot of water, no pop or things with alot of sugar. Also you can do tea too. Eat alot of fruits and vegetables. Bananas will give you energy for work so you won't feel tired. One more thing, exercise. If you don't wanna exercise, just eat healthy.

If you say your rear is always running, and you add fiber its only going to make it worse.

I eat a high fiber cereal in order to stay "regular" schedule, if you know what i mean.

it is said drinking hot/warm fluids after meals is good for you. drinking cold/ice water is supposed to solidify the fats and oils more, making them harder to digest

Sounds like a possibility of IBS to be honest. Try cutting out anything greasy or fried, chocolate, milk, dairy products, etc and start taking fiber supplements. I've got the problem and it makes a world of a difference. If you've got runny [shizzle]s and stuff, fiber will help. Thickens it all up. I'd recommend Citrucel. Unlike metamucil, it doesn't ferment in your stomach and give you a bunch of extra gas.

Well I guess I should better explain my issues. I have a very slow digestive system overall. Ever since I was little it would take a couple days to pass what I eat and I go a couple days in between toilet trips. And it seems that when I do need to go its hard to pass much but then the next day I get hit with a hail mary and need to go 3 times and it gets wetter each time. Then I will go a few days before going again and it starts all over again. I do try to drink at least 10 cups of water a day. I need to adjust the diet!! And then get off my butt and exercise for once.

IBS for sure. IBS a lot of times has symptoms of alternating diarhea and constipation. I'm telling you dude, start taking some citrucel everyday. Two doses maybe. Within a couple days I guarentee you'll notice a huge increase in regularity.

I'm 24, 6'5" and about 170...I've gone out to eat every day for like the last 3 years and I eat protien bars every other day...no health problems as of date haha. Fast food will probably be my downfall eventually....but I always feel like im too busy to go to the store and make my own meals. I know if I'd just go shopping I'd probably save a buncha mone too lol.

Your ass hates you for sitting on it for 9hrs a day. Pay back is a bitch.

lol.

Seariously, maybe include a bit more physical activity in your daily routine. Starting by walking or jogging to places close by instead of driving (less gas rant) parking further away from stores, and walking to them. Something that has alwase bugged me is that people complain about high gas prices but have no problem circling the walmart parking lot for 10min trying to find a parking space 5 cars closer then the first open one they found when they drove into the paring lot. Then its complain time about how fat they are and they cant lose weight, but that doesnt stop them from finding the closest parking space to the building and walking the minimal distance to the entrance (including getting dropped off at the door)
Me, I hate going to stores, but when I do. Ill park in the first spot I find, be it next to the door or 2 blocks away. ...
This thinking goes far beyond just going to a store, but im pretty sure you can figure that out.

yeah..
