You are doing all those maintenance on that car? Is the guy gonna pay you for all that if you decide not to keep the car later on?

Sounds like you would be better off trying to fix the 6.

97 C8 MX6 LS-S : Supercharged StreetThisMx6's motor, HP's and Eibach's, AWR suspension components, FD's and J-specs, etc... Yeah it's nice

Just came back from a [shizzle]show today. My '90 Trans Am GTA that I bought from my brother was in storage. Well I just put in a new battery, a month later it was broken into and that said battery is now gone (yet they didn't touch the CD deck, wierd).
Today it was fairly hot, about 27degrees C. The car has always had overheating problems after sitting for 5 years with acidic coolant in the rad. Now both the rad and the heater core are rotted out.

SO somebody came from a town an hour away to take a look at it (as I'm selling it obviously) and it overheats worse then it ever did. The needle was off the charts, about 1/4 past the red zone.

Not surprisingly I have to pull over and call him to this parking lot that I'm sitting at as that engine is going to be mush if I keep driving it.

When he shows up there is coolant pissing out all over the engine and the pavement. Great

He went from "wanting to buy it on the spot" over the phone and seeing it person, and just walking away in no time pretty much. Had to walk 2km's to the train station and take a series of trains & buses home. Later tonight I have to go back when its cooler out with less traffic and pick it up again.
Great day!!! I love it.
I REALLY dont want to spend $700 on a new rad since that wont affect the selling price of the car, and I'm trying to dump it for $4k.

yeah im doing all the maintenance. im going to keep the car for sure, theres no way im getting rid of it. hes delaying all the payments right now since i cant pay him because i have to fix a bunch of [shizzle]. in the next few days im doing the one powersteering line, then the car will be set until i can afford the suspension. it sounds like a lot of things have gone wrong, because they have but its all good. im loving it!

and theres no way i can fix the 6 i put 3K into that car and its almost time to call it quits, it cant sit to much longer. it just needs the engine wiring harness. but i just cant be so sure. i dont even want to think about it, i have enough things to deal with the 240. and the 240 comes first since it runs great
