Yeah, the bike I put together was about $1000 in parts, and the one I bought was right about the same. I wish I could say I'm getting my money's worth, but I haven't even had the combination of time to ride and open trails this year (it's rained a lot here this year). They're both great bikes (don't have the custom one anymore) for the money though.
