Show your gun and why you like it

I had a mossberg 590, decided to trade it for a 500 and some cash, didn't really need the 500. The sound of pumping it is enough to scare off intruders, and I just bought some fun rounds for it (flare rounds and bean bag rounds)

I love the action on the gun, it came recommended to me by a bunch of police officers. Everyone says the gun never jams, and it's pretty damn accurate for a shotgun. Don't like the bead sight too much, wanna get something else for it. Already ordered a heatshield and a flashlight mount

The prospect of outsized profits leads people to exaggerate their own capabilities. In their minds. They pretend to themselves that they are in control of events where perhaps they are not. And it is always one's stance upon uncertain ground that invites the attention of one's enemies. or discourages it.

This is a stock photo, but I'm in my office so when I get home I'll take an actual pic and post it, but anyways

I like this gun because it has always been dependable (only jamed once because of aluminum rounds), it is the 9mm with a 12 round mag, it is very light weight, and for the quality very affordable. The gun is also very fun to shoot and comfortable to carry( in pance small of back "Fist" formed kydex holster) .

Don't say **sd**k, it's two points.

Guy i work with has one of those in .380. Its very nice, because of the size and capacity it has. Only thing I dont like is its DA

I think everyone has seen my AR-15, but ill whore it up anyway.

And, my Springfield XD

If you're into guns then you dont need an explanation as to why these are my favorites. If you're not into guns, then you wouldnt understand anyway, so Ill just consider this a whore session.

And I guess ill throw in a pic of my 1911 that I just sold a couple months ago

Chris,

I've fired both the 9 and .45 of the Springfield which do you prefer? Do you aggree with this statement the gunshop owner said? "It's what glock could've been."
What is the whole name for the AR 15, and or a website. I've been thinking about the Stag 15 and a couple of others.

I would like to get the springfield, but I don't know if I ever will.
DE is one of my favorites, along with the Raging Bull.

Not guns, but on the subject of shooting for sport and self defence.

I took all the little bits off it that came with it, I like to keep it simple. Thinking of ditching the sight too so I can shoot instinctively. Much more fun, and im quicker and just as accurate. Oh, 70lbs of bunny shooting goodness.

Shiny, and very very sharp. Actually sharper then mums kitchen knives, which im sure she is embarassed about. The blade is quite thick and heavy for its size too, more then capable of cutting a pig head off, so more then capable of taking an intruders arm off too. I think it is more fun then a traditional hunting knife. Petty crims in Australia dont have guns, they might have a little flick knife though. Slash > Stab.

No I dont walk around the streets with it on me, that would be illegal. It stays in next to my bed (in a sheath) when im not using it, and when I go hunting it comes with me.

I've never fired the XD in .45, but I heard the new ACP is NICE! Ive fired the 9mm and the .40S&W (what I own) and I definately prefer the .40 cal. If you mean in general, between a 9mm and a .45, it all depends really. .45 is definately a more powerful round, but 9mm is cheaper to shoot. For self defense, I would never use a 9mm, but thats just me. Id take a .40, or a .45ACP over a 9mm any day. Between .45 and .40, I like .40 cal for self defense. I think its a perfect round. Not too powerful like the .45ACP, yet it still has plenty of power behind it. The FBI and the majority of law enforcement agencies feel the same way, because the FBI and most law enforcement agencies use a .40 cal Glock (22 or 23)

I've never heard anyone say that the XD is everything that Glock could have been, but I can see why people would say that. I really like the XD, but I stand by Glock 100%. Its such a simple design, and will fire everytime, no matter what you do to it. My firearms instructor once said that Glock is the ONLY weapon he would take out of the case brand new, and trust his life to it without having to test fire it.

When I bought my XD, I was trying to choose between that and a Glock 23. I still want a Glock 23, as well as a Glock 27 (for CCW) in the future. I think the XD is a great weapon because its feel is so similar to Glock, but it has the extra features (loaded chamber indicator, backstrap safety, and striker indicator). Its hard for me to pick which one I prefer. I think its a tie to be honest.

As for my AR15, its actually two different rifles mated. The upper is a Bushmaster XM-15, while the lower is a Stag Arms Stag-15. I'm not sure what you mean by what is the whole name for the AR-15. The title AR-15 is very general. An AR-15 is basically a civilian copy of the Military M-16 or M-4 type assault rifle. M-16 and M-4 are trademarks of Colt. Pretty much any M16 type assault rifle is an AR-15 in general.

^^^lol,

Chris,
I actually chose the PT111 pro over the XD. I went to two different gun shops and was wanting the XD I had read about it and was set on the 9mm compact (or sub I can't remember now). I went to another shop and they didn't have the XD ( I was comparing prices), but they had the Tarus. It was lighter more comfortable in my hand and had more capacity than the XD, on top of every thing else it was about $180 cheaper. I was buying it as a future ccw gun so its smaller size and weight is the big reason I chose it. I love to shoot it. I didn't get a chance to post my actual pick last night, but when I get home I will try and take a pic of it and my two other hand guns. I have a Star Model PD (45acp) and an Airweight S&W 38special +p.

Don't say **sd**k, it's two points.
