sony psp?

so i'm thinking about getting a PSP and was wondering if anyone has one and what they think of it. i went out and priced them and some of the accessories. do you have to buy the media manager kit to load music/movies to it? i don't want to drop $170 on the system and then have to spend another $100 just to get it to do the stuff that it brags about being able to do. any info will be helpful.

the lack of a cupholder just makes it that much more like a Ferrari

PSP is a plus. I got one right when they came out and soon enough all my friends had it. Yes they are worth it because you can do so much stuff with the psp. And NO you don't have to buy the media manager stuff to load music and videos. The music is ez to put on, but the video u need a convertor. I have the convertor and its a free download. My psp is hacked, cracked so I can play games without the UMD and stuff. If u want to know more just hit me up, but like I said I think it was worth getting the psp. Still using it today.

Use money towards ps3 instead. PSP is old news .

The games can be fun, but I just dont see how I could get heaps of enjoyment "when im on the go". I had one for about 2 weeks that I borrowed off a mate, I played it maybe twice, and both times I was at home . If you catch public transport everywhere then I would say worth it, but if you wont have the opportunity to make use of its portability, a ps3 is better investment.
