So I got the new Black Berry Flip from T-Mobile, So far, its like a enormous step up from what im used to having. I actually really like it, the mouse deal took some getting used to, but its a really nice phone.
So now im interested in cutting my own ring tones, Ive searched what seems to be endlessly and it seems that no matter what your either paying over $25 for ringtone maker software, or audio editing software.
I downloaded some trials to see how they work.. and the F'd up my computer. I had to system restore to get it to work correctly again So Im not doing that anymore. I dont want to pay for anything thats going to make things worse.
Anyone have any recommendations for whats legit and works?
it will handle the little task of what you are doing and if you want to do stuff in the future(edit home movies/car movies with sound, record yourself playing guitar/singing/etc., hell multi-track record a band) it will do anything you need.
it might not be the easiest program ill give you that but it has a manual and what you are trying to do is simple enough. i know it looks daunting but it is pretty much self explanatory.

I've got a ton of friends that use myxertones.com but it won't work with my phone.
I've got a program now called BitPim that basiccally goes into my phone and reprograms the ringtone or picture memory and I can send it whatever I want.

i found it easy to use, its easy to upload your Mp3s and cut a ring tone (mp3s only i believe). It'll text you the ring tone when your done making it, or you can upload it through your computer.
