Shooting on Fort Hood

Soldier kills 11 in shooting rampage at Fort Hood army base - Yahoo! News

This is the [shizzle] we have to deal with while we are fighting a war that is not going on when there is this happening. Major Hasan brings a bad name to us as soldiers. And we lost a soldier in 1-8 cav. to this guy Francheska Velez and she has pregent. All we can do is sit back and want till we come home from Iraq. I found out that my wife was leaving post and was about 200yds away from this madness. Prayer Go Out to all our soldiers that lost there live to this Maj. and prayer to all that lost there lives here. We need to fight the war at home before fight other wars.

I thought they said that the shooter lived?

"Investigators examined Hasan's computer, his home and his garbage Friday to learn what motivated the suspect, who lay in a coma, shot four times in the frantic bloodletting. Hospital officials said some of the wounded had extremely serious injuries and might not survive."

He is, this link was from our motorcycle race site. He still alive, but he should be dead. Trying to cover this up, but to many people know.

He's under heavy guard now for sure. The worst people in the world to piss off would be people on a military base with access to lots of guns and training on how to use them.

I hate to say this, but some of the people shot was from friendly fire. WTF, we go to ranges for this reason. And after the Major was shot, they tried to give him aid and was going to get him out of the till they find out that it was him shooting. What bad is I feel safer here in Iraq right and when I'm at Fort Hood, I have to watch my back ever sec. Trust is a big thing in the army, when rolling out on mission everynight knowing that if you are on the ground and you take fire your friend will have your back, not shoot you because he signed up and know pissed that he has to do his JOB that he SIGNED UP FOR. No but him rasied his hand to join, no one made him do it.
That is my out look on this.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much said about the religious aspect of this whole murder spree. But I guess that wouldn't be politically correct, and we can't have that here; not even in the military where people's lives are at stake.

I just want to know what motivates people from that religion to want to kill so many innocent people? And yes, I know that people of other religions do kill other people, but usually religion isn't their reason for doing it.

It's just like here with these a$$hole. If we get blown up by a IED and we shoot at them and miss them or hit them (like the other night here) we have to give them aid. All about the political bullcrap. I would have shot that guy dead right there, bullet right to the head and felt nothing. Like I feel nothing when we kill these people when they blow us up. I need to read up on the story some more to see how much of this changed.

And murder/ suicide is the answer to all their problems?

And the fact that they are trying to save this guys life after he murdered all those people is just criminal. They should have let him die. Now this will go to trial and it could take years before he gets the death penalty. Someone could have saved us the trouble by putting a bullit in his head.

I hope he gets what he deserves. Just like anyone else who commits a crime, there is a system of justice in place for them, like it or not it's there. I would not catagorize him with suicide bombers in Iraq. He was an American soldier with some major issues.

Also, it is very easy to sit at home and have the "answers" while shooting the breeze. I don't think the actions some of these men and women take are the answers to their problem but be in their shoes for a day and you'll go nuts...

Not all terrorists are Billionaires like Osama Bin Laden...Majority of the suicide bombers really do get money sent to their families so that they may eat...

There is a lot more to this, but it's been discussed a million times already.

Didn't mean to offend you, but a lot of people like to jump on the religion bandwagon. Lets move past that and look at the real reasons why people do the things they do.
