Very nice! I'd love something like that but theirs not many appropriate trails for what that bike is intended for. I just got into biking last spring and it's pushed my back rehab along pretty hastily. Not at all the same thing but it's a hybrid road bike (although not very comfortable at all on dirt trails). I keep it to the road and I can get bookin on it ~25mph on a nice flat road. It's a Gary fischer (trek) I can post a pic of it tomorrow.
I've been using my old cross country bike on the roads and paved trails for years. Its lightweight, has 4 inches of suspension travel, and with skinny XC tires it is isn't too slow on the pavement. I used to take it off road but it isn't really made for taking jumps and drop-offs. I'm looking to get new tires for it now and am curious what you're running on your hybrid? My plan is to keep the old bike just for pavement and my new bike will be for all the gnarly off road stuff we have out here.
EDIT: This is the bike I will be fixing up for road use:

WELL on the Wingra's and most other trek gary fishers i believe they put a 700cx32c tire on which is pretty typical for a hybrid. Probably too wide for any road bike but it gets the job done for me. I'm planning on participating in Ragbrai this year (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) and i'll probably get a set of 700x28c for that.
Just dug the bike out a snapped a few pix with my phone... DAMN its cold out! I wish i could go riding...
Put some new pedals on it with clips right away as well as a mirror... Hate looking behind me constantly.
If you want a bright light ^^^ blackurn have both headlight and tailight and they are SOO damn bright. I have to point it down at the road or i can easily blind oncoming traffic lol.
When i get more into the sport i'll probably shell out for a roadbike. For now tho, this will serve me very well
Another cycling enthusiast here, got into mountain biking a few summers ago and although I don't get to ride much, I still really enjoy it. Bike is a Marin Palisades Trail 29er, I would love to get a road bike to hammer out some miles and stay in good shape more as the trails are a bit of a drive for me, but for now this one does fine on the road with the fork locked out and tires aired up.
Best picture I have is of the bike with a flat tire, was horsing around in a skate/bike park and ended up walking almost an hour home...
And no, I don't normally carry all that stuff when I'm riding off road, I was just bored one afternoon so I took a bunch of extra stuff just in case.
i look at multiple speeds as cheating for old people. lol. even though 90% of my friends i ride with ride mountain bikes.
this is my main bike.
at the end of last summer, i finally got my newest bike together. its a 24 inch redline cruiser. all aluminum frame. i like it alot. mainly cause being almost 6 foot, the old 20 inch bmx frames were getting cramped. but dont have any pics of it yet.
ill be stripping down the free agent down because i bought a STANDARD STA 500 frame and fork. and all the goodies off the free agent will be going on that.
Got an indoor trainer for my bike about a week ago. It's helpin me get back in shape
lots of sales going on right now too... i managed to order my 25c tires and a trainer tires so i don't destroy my good ones on the cycleops. Few goodies are coming along with the tires. I'll post them when they're here next week.

you brought all that stuff and you didn't have the essentials!? try carrying an extra tube with some tire levers and one of those co2 inflators next time. They should all fit in your bag
yay new seat..and bag..
yay new ergon grips! they are upside down (wrong handlebars) lol... i fixed it right away when i realised.
We finally had a day with no rain and temps were around 50 degrees. So I got to do some rinding out at Bootleg Canyon today.
Some nice easy trails...
Here's a section that's a little more technical...
Vegas strip in the far off distance...
Almost forgot about the new mods since my last picture at the beginning of this thread: I swapped the old Marzocchi air forks for Marzocchi 44 RC3 Ti (titanium sprung, compression and rebound adjustable) forks and added a SRAM hollow pin chain.

You'd think so but the humidity here can be punishing. It'll be a 85* day but with humidity the temp can be 105 give or take a few degrees. Humidity makes breathing pretty hard. Iowa is just [shizzle]ty, either too cold or too hot
