Description - Turn Facebook into Picturebook for one day, on Monday, 12/12/2011
Share this with your friends!
Let's face(book) it, we have the option to customize practically everything in both our actual & virtual lives these days, except FB. What's up with that? Anyway...It's kinda bland and boring, yeah? "Oh look! blue and white again... with a peppering of text..."
So, if you log onto FB on Monday 12/12 (which there is a considerable possibility of), then please help visually spruce up the place and choose to post at least one image (or more!). How neat would it be if the newsfeed was all images? A virtual "deck the walls" perhaps? Tis' the season!
But to make it even better, since it's the holiday season, if you're an artist or independent merchant - post an image of your work that's for sale with a link or info on how to purchase; or promote your friends's work...or just share an image of your art for some promotion in general.
Regardless, post an image! You can make a statement with your image, add a poem or quote; show us what you're passionate about - what makes you happy, or what pisses you off. It can be pretty, it can be ugly. It can be simple or complex. You can leave commentary, or you can just leave it be. It doesn't matter if the image has text or consists entirely of text, anything will look better than Facebook's 10 pt klavica font.
So, let's sacrifice at least one status update (or more!) that day about how your baby just threw up on you (post a pic! - of the baby, not the vomit), or about how men are jerks (got visual proof? post a pic!), or about how Kim and Kris are fighting (not them, they get enough airtime) and instead just give us something to look at and think about! Give our right brains a little stretch and breather?
Just choose "Add Photo/Video" instead of "Update Status."
It's easy enough to find an image. Search any word and hit "images" instead of "everything/web" - voila! Try searching for an adjective-noun combination, too. If you're *that* lazy, then you can easily "share" other people's posted images that you like, instead.
Let's SEE whatchagot!
