That is simply a beautiful piece of work. Does anybody know what the MSRP on those is going to be? I'd like to see it for under 30, but that's doubtful.

95 Mx-6 LS. Full 2.5 inch exhaust. Intake. ZE Manifold. FOR SALE!!
99 Acura TL. Stock, and staying that way.

Finally nice to hear a comformation on it being F/I'ed and I'm super happy they chose to go with the Mazda 4 banger over force feeding the Ford Duratec.

Wow..

I was going to trade in my Protege for a Mazda3 hatch next year, but unless they roll out a MazdaSpeed 3 Hatch, I think I'm going to settle for this

I wonder how much its going to weigh in at. With those numbers it should be a competitor with the evo and the wrx, but weight will be critical. For comparison the base model 6 weighs 3,166 according to cars.com. Sti is about 3,260 and the evo's weigh about 3,260 and 3,175 for the stripped down rs.

i like it, and that weight is critical to have a WRX/EVO comparison. Handling must be top notch also

no, it's Mazda's MZR 2.3L.

I'd be willing to bet the MS6 will be a bit more than the base weight, probably by a couple hundred pounds. The body stiffening will probably account for most of that, then a few more lbs to add for various other things.

So, the 3 came out what....a year after the 6? So that means we'll only have to wait another year or so to get the official information on the MS3 (they better make one, lol). It would be awesome if they used they made it with the same output as the MS6, but I really doubt that they would.

As far as the EVO/STi comparison goes, they'll probably be a bit faster because of weight reasons. I can't wait to see the powerband though.

Won't the AWD system out-weigh the stiffening?

i just hope it stays below the 3300lbs mark.

yeah, I wasn't really thinking of all that when I first started writing....errr, typing. I was just thinking it was going to be FWD for some reason.

There's no way the MS6 will be under 3300 if the base is 3166. The MS Miata is 142 lbs heavier than the LS, and that's not including an AWD setup. If we're conservative, and just add that much, it would still weigh in at 3308 lbs.

When I was typing that entry, I was actually going to say the STi and EVO would be faster from a launch, because of AWD, then I was like...wait, the MS6 will have AWD also, forget that. I'm surprised I didn't catch the weight issue, lol.
