There are 2 ways.

The first way:
1. Take the access panels off the back of the headlights.
A. The low beams are twist off
i. Passenger side low beam requires you to remove the coolant overflow tank, just unbolt it, don't remove the hoses.
B. The fogs and high beams have a clip and hinge style cover plate. Unclip the top, open and pull out.
2. There is a wire spring clip holding in the 3 bulbs. Push down on it, and then towards to the passenger side of the car, and release.
3. Replace bulbs. High and Low Beams are H1, Fog lights are H3.
4. Repeat Steps 1-3 in reverse order.

The second way is to remove the bumper and headlights, which is what you should do if you plan on installing head lights. For instructions on how to do that, go here:Mazda6Tech - Remove Your Front Bumper

It's a bitch for someone like myself with large hands. It was taking me forever until I called my 5'2" girlfriend out to help me. Her little baby hands were able to take care of it in a hurry.
