Two things the US-spec 6 has that I wish we had here in Australia...

Tthe red tail lights, although I like the clear ones we have, or at least the tinted MPS ones, the red look cool. But more importantly the V6, Mazda Australia apparently believe that the V6 would not appeal to the aussie market.

It's the only thing that puts me off getting a Mazda 6, only the 2.3 I4 here

Current: 1995 GE2 626 SDX Hatch
Past: 1992 AX2 Telstar TX5 Ghia

I hate the all red tails, and I hate how my tail lights bulge out, when your tail lights follow the shape the trunk. I'd love to have a set of MPS Euro/Aus/JDM tail lights. (Especially if they were LED.)

I love the V6, but I am envious of the JDM ecu, because it was re-flashable right away, where it has been 5 years, and we are almost ready to start doing the same. From what I understand, it was a push by Ford to put a V6 in it for the US market, and it's appearant if you look under the hood. FoMoCo parts all over the place, Mazda didn't even try to hide it.

Installed my springs today.

Jacked up, wheels off.

Stock rear springs. (And some nasty looking Calipers.)

Springs (New springs are red, old springs are black. Those yellow rings are cut bump stop rings.)

Removing rear springs.

Rear Springs Installed.

New spring installed on the shock.

Front suspension reinstalled.

First time being on the ground. (Doesn't seem any better than stock.)

After driving it 30 miles or so. (Sorry for all the crappy pics, it started raining as soon as I got home.)

More pics to come tomorrow.

Kyle's 3 looks sick with your rims on. Any pics of it on the ground?

Wired in my Battery terminal's volt meter. I was extremely happy to find out it glowed red, I was told in the eBay auction they would be green.

Testing the Display

Everything bundled up nicely.

Also steam cleaned the carpet, seats, and floor mats.

Started building my sub box.

Mock up.

Cutting the holes for the subs.

Test Fitting the subs.

Assembly

Finished Product.

Dropped in the subs just to see how they'd look.

Construction is done. Now I just need to carpet it, buy and install terminal cups, fill with polyfill, and bolt down the subs.

I see it in the IM, but not the engine.

Box is 100% complete, and now I'm working on the wiring. Pics to come later.
