A bit about the new 6

Heres some info I saw about the new 6(the 626 replacement) on MSN.

Mazda

"While Mazda did not debut any models that are coming to the U.S. right away, there is hope that one of them will make it. A concept based on the Mazda6 (which does go on sale in America next spring replacing the 626), is called the MPS and it has some pretty impressive stats. Featuring what Mazda calls "Sophisticated High Performance", the Mazda6 MPS gives an example of what a top-of-the-range Mazda6 could be. The MPS sports a new version of Mazda's five-pointed grille, an enlarged front bumper, flared wheel arches and 18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Power comes from a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine producing 280 horsepower and is driven through a full-time all-wheel drive system. "

Umm...... from what I heard was that the Mazda6 has 220hp with a 3.0 V6 or a 150hp with a I4, never heard of a turbo version, you sure they have one with a turbo?

Why not make a turbo version of the 3.0 litre V6? That way it would be faster stock than the G35.

I believe they did not want to use the Ford v6(3.0 v6) so choe instead to use thier inhouse 4cyl and turbo it.

Also, the 4 cyl. is used worldwide, while the V6 engine for the Mazda 6 is only used in the United States. However, it looks like there may be a turbo kit produced for the V6 in the near future though (aftermarket).
