fog lights

im not sure about the fog light thing, (which was posted a while ago), but at mazdas website, you can build your own 6 and i saw that foglights were an option that can be added. By this i mean fog lights at the bottom of the bumper, I think thats what it means.

nonetheless...the car is awesome...

I last posted on PT July 13th, 2002. That was good enough to elicit a reply from me, though.... Nice!

Got to go on a test drive!

SWEET! SWEET! SWEET!

My gf and i were at the dealership picking up my car after some work and there it was, all 220hp, wrapped in bright yellow paint with soft leather seats etc etc...

I figure it is just in and there are like 10 people all over it and they close in like 30 minutes so there is like no chance of me getting a test drive, right? Well i figure what the heck and ask, the manager throws me the keys and tells me to back within the hour! CRAZY!!!

My gf and i went out and cruised hardcore and man o'man did we get attention! Flying down the freeway and then cruising through the semi-industrial areas!!!

While this is not the best car ever or anything it is definitely a great value and a lot of fun to drive! Definitely pushs Mazda further into the spot light and away from Fords crappy image, and can easily compete with the Accords and Camry's in the world...

I have driven the new loaded accord as well and they are very competitive. The accord is more refined while the Mazda 6 is sportier....

My advice? Go take a drive! You'll have a blast...

Claeren.

Whee!

I didn't get to test drive one, but I did sit in one at the Pittsburgh Auto Show, and I was impressed at how much it reminded me of my '6. I like how the interior (at least in the front) is very spacious. I'm not a small fellow, and many other cars that I have sat in (VW golf) is not so spacious. I'd like a smaller sporty car to drive around in the City, and the new 6 is pretty darn close to fitting that bill perfectly. And the back seats are pretty decent too. I was impressed. Of course, I don't the money to afford one, and if I did have that kinda money, shoot, I'd buy and Rx8, since they aren't *that* much more ($5-6K)

The Rx8 was also at the Pittsburgh Auto show, and damn, that does look good. I think I'll be saving the extra money to go ahead and get one of those... 'course, I'll be test driving both in a year or three....

The RX-8 is running for like $30,000 but when I went to the dealership I asked them about it, and they told me that since there was a high demand for it that it would be running around 35k or more. I bought my 6 for $19,900 so thats like a $15,000 difference. So it is a good amount more.

Would the mazda6 headlight cluster fit well on an MX6? (without too much work)

If anyone feels like doing a PS job, that'd be stellar.

just fyi i have a link in my email to preorder an rx-8 and a 6 i've set them both up to have mtx, all options available since you have no choice on the rx-8 and, the v6 on the 6 and the total prices through mazda's website are $25,640 for the 6 and $31,100 for the rx-8. granted these prices are before the dealer mark ups but they are directly off of mazda's website site just to give you all an idea of cost. almost worth it to go with the rx-8.
