My new M Edition

Well my 93 died on me on Thanksgiving, so I had to put her into the garage until I can get a new engine. It was hard and I cried, but then the very next day, I found her. A 96 M Edition 5 speed, with only 75k on it. She runs great and is so much fun to drive. Her is a pic, let me know what you think.

Here is a pic of the rear, I think they were replaced. I don't know why though. Everything else on it checks out to be an M Edition though. If there is anything else that you know of to check please tell me. I don't think some one would go through all the trouble of changing the interior to the all leather with the M Edition seats or putting the M Edition emblem on the side? Or maybe some one would, I really don't know. Let me know what you think though. Also if you have pics of your tails, I'd like to see them. Thank you

Another thing to look for is the metal door sills that say mx6 on them. I think that they also came with an in-dash cd changer.

Here's a pic of MazdaMX6's M-Edition(hope it's ok):

Yea my car has the metal "MX6" door sills, the only thing that is different is the tails. I've been trying to locate them all day, but I don't think I am.

well, if the car ever got hit in the rear end, they'll replace it w/ the non m-edition tails. when i first got mine, one of the tails was like that. both tho seems supicious.

also, first black m-edition i've ever seen. that seems weird, too.

you have the 3 CD changer in the dash and m-edition logo embroidered on the leather seats?

gchild, np

I'm sure the car was just rear ended before, and they didn't replace it with the M-Edition tail. M-Edition does come in black, they made in white, burgurdy, black and maybe midnight blue. I like those gold badge, I think they stand out the car more than those boring silver $5,500 is not bad, good find I bought mine 2 1/2 years ago for $6,500 with 62k on it, from Texas (salt free) I had it shipped to chicago

Fujii13, Yea it came with the M Edition Seats and it had the cd player, well it had it for the way home anyways. But the tails really bother me because to me it's just not right. Does anyone know where I can get a set of the M Editions, price isn't really a problem, I just really want to fix this. Also does anyone know of a good set of tires to get. The tires on it are in really good shape but the two in the rear are different from the two up front(to me thats like wearing nike and reebok at the same time), and I want to make sure that they will be good enough to make the drive from pittsburgh to oceanside, california the day after christmas.

Yea, Mazda is gonna rape you on that one. PM Hughes, he got some M-Edition once awhile, or try this place Even at recycle place you are looking at $100 for the whole set, they are pretty hard to find, good luck.
