Love the lumpy big-cam idle and V8 sound. Awesome!

That little flathead was super cool to be sure. Check out this gallery of more miniatures:

http://www.floridaame.org/GalleryPages/galleryDate1.htm

Ken Hurst, the maker of the flathead, also made this:

The blower actually produces something like 6-psi of boost. His web page can be seen at:

http://www.nvbackflow.com/engines/

Some of the parts are machined from stock, others cast. This is the cylinder block raw casting:

Or a crankshaft:

http://www.nvbackflow.com/engines/crankshaft.JPG

If you want to see something even more amazing, if that's possible, check out this jewel:

and read about it's maker and the design here:

http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Tomlinson.htm

Incredible stuff.

The page referencing the Napier engine reads "Clennel "Clen" Tomlinson is a 71-year old retired Electro/Mechanical engineer..." and "“I spent most of my working life with pencil and paper, “T” square, log and trig tables and a slide rule. I progressed easily to the calculator but a little more reluctantly to the computer..."

Old school and retired. A guy with those skills and intelligence would probably go insane if he didn't vent it by using his time making spectacular objects like that.
