ZR1 vs GT-R at the 'Ring - Garage419 - Video

you be the judge. the corvette pulls ahead at the 3:10 mark and almost loses it at the 4:00 mark...

this video sounds great and is well put together.

The ZR1 Vette seemed to perform better overall. What Skyline GT-R is this anyway...?
Did anyone else know that the "LT-5" ZR1 DOHC V8 was designed with Lotus and uses Lotus Heads...?

I believe 120hp different.

In the video, the Vette seems to accelerate smoother, while the GT-R seems a bit slow at the beginning of acceleration, turbo lag?

The ZR1 was running stock tires and obviously they are not the best tires for the track and that is not a pro driver but rather an engenier. My point is the ZR1 has the ability to be even faster than that GTR which had on very sticky tires and a pro driver. Also, there is speculation that the GTR that we can get in the states is a tad slower than that test model while that ZR1 is "production stock".

i think its the wieghts of the car. The skylines were always the linebacker type of cars; kind of bulky yet extremely savage and aggressive. The vette is more like the running back, sleek and light. Though I would still pick the GTR Im sure the zr1 is a better performer when it comes to figures and percentages

Thanks to Gran Turismo, I knew almost every turn.
In any event, it's nice to see the whole lap in motion. It was nicer to me, to watch the track being driven, than to see the two times being compared.

I did see where the Vette had a little slip at 4:00. He had a nice slide on the last few turns before the main straight. I thought for second he was going to lose it there, when he lifted his hand off the wheel.

I really wish I could drive that track someday.

I think he was disapointed as to how the tires were behaving.

that was some intense speeds on the straightaway. The sad thing is, that i recognized where they were on the track in comparison to the map from playing video games, and people say you don't learn anything from games.
