How to Post movies on MX6.com.
Please only post MX-6, Mazda, and Probe movies. Exceptions will be made if the movie is significantly interesting.

There are two methods in which you can post movies.

1) If the movie is currently hosted on a website
Then post a new thread in the Movie Gallery and link to the movie file. If a thumbnail of the movie exists (and the site allows hotlinking) then you can use the IMG tag to display the thumbnail and make it link to the movie file. Here is an example of how to do that:

That will display the thumbnail and make it link to the movie.
You can use the URL tag without the IMG tag if there is not thumbnail to have a description of the movie to act as a link. Like this:
Here is a cool movie of my car

That looks a lot nicer than just a link.

2) If the movie is on your computer.
You can upload it to MX6.com's server with a FTP program. Please create a thumbnail and upload it too. The easiest way to do this is to view your movie file in Windows Explorer and select Thumbnail view. Then you can take a screencapture and edit the image. Please name the thumbnail the exact same name as the movie and save it in JPG format.
For example, if you have a movie 'coolmx6.mpg' then name your thumbnail coolmx6.mpg.jpg'.
Upload both files to the server. Failure to do this will result in a significant delay in posting the movie.
FTP server: ftp.mx6.com
Username: upload
Password: mx6com

The files you upload will not be accessible on the internet. Once you upload the file, please PM me to let me know and I will review it. If it meets our (low) standards for inclusion on the site, I will post it and the thumbnail. If there is not a thumbnail, then that means that I have to download it to my computer to create it and upload the thumbnail myself. There is a greatly increased chance that I will not post a video without a thumbnail included because of the extra work.
