The Fidanza is a huge improvement over stock for rev up speeds.
But if you ever get over about 190-200whp, I wouldn't bother with anything lighter than an MX-3 flywheel because it'll have less chance of chatter than the Fidanza but is still lighter (by about 5 pounds) than the OE flywheel. |

I could be completely wrong but I think that chatter is caused by the clutch disc not mating perfectly even with the flywheel face. The lighter flywheel can slow down and speed up so quickly that it causes the disc to "skip" between the flywheel and pressure plate. If you have a heavier flywheel, it's not so easy for it to slow down and speed up while holding a constant throttle so it's less noticable (or not noticable at all).
Chatter can be avoided by just launching more agressively at a higher RPM... but this isn't realistic for daily driving. |

Hey guys... It's been a while. I moved back to Springfield, MA. I still have my MX6, and it's looking pretty bad. I just got me a new Mazda6 (Daily Driver). But I'm going to start working on my MX6 now.
