Wow over 20 pounds, and now down to 9 that seems like a no-brainer modification, as long as its good quality. Could you tell the difference right away?

The Fidanza is a huge improvement over stock for rev up speeds.

But if you ever get over about 190-200whp, I wouldn't bother with anything lighter than an MX-3 flywheel because it'll have less chance of chatter than the Fidanza but is still lighter (by about 5 pounds) than the OE flywheel.

Chatter? I have no idea of what this is. Is it caused by a lower mass?

I could be completely wrong but I think that chatter is caused by the clutch disc not mating perfectly even with the flywheel face. The lighter flywheel can slow down and speed up so quickly that it causes the disc to "skip" between the flywheel and pressure plate. If you have a heavier flywheel, it's not so easy for it to slow down and speed up while holding a constant throttle so it's less noticable (or not noticable at all).

Chatter can be avoided by just launching more agressively at a higher RPM... but this isn't realistic for daily driving.

thats exactly how mines is. if i take off at a low RPM, it chatters. but wen i rev higher, it'z smooth. n wen i reverse. thats wen i get A LOT of chatter.

n jessiegirl,
if u can get me a pic of ur rims n a price. i'll see what i can do.

Hey guys... It's been a while. I moved back to Springfield, MA. I still have my MX6, and it's looking pretty bad. I just got me a new Mazda6 (Daily Driver). But I'm going to start working on my MX6 now.

At the next mod meet I'll be installing a straight neck ZE IM on Jess' car and Brian from NY might be coming to install one on his built motor as well.

Both are straight neck IMs.

You're welcome to install yours at the meet my place too, I already offered that. You need to make sure that you don't need a special IAC for it.

Idle Air Control valve. It is screwed to the bottom of the throttle body and controls your idle.
