Server Error

Sorry for the error message that was in place of the site for most of today.

Today was a rare occasion that both me and imagoon were away from computers. So we didnt even know there was a problem until about 2pm CST.

Here is what happened:
A security update was released for PHP. Our server automatically installs high priority security patches. Well this patch happened to be incompatible with a plugin we use on the site called Zend Optimizer.

So, first I downgraded PHP to get the site running again, then we updated Zend and reloaded the security patch. All is well again...

at work our server died too...so no internet (read MX6.com) today..
got home.........still no mx6.com.
man im glad "we" are back online.

PHP updates are complete.
Security system told to email me rather than try to think on it's own....

how do you like service at The Planet anyway Scooby? They are never seemingly on top of things. I know, I have done business with them for a year now.

It could be that GA-DSM is on the same server as mx-6.com. We at GA-DSM got hacked yesterday/Last night, and one of our admins told us that the server as a whole got shut down temporarily.

I think The Planet (and ServerMatrix who is a subsidiary) are the best dedicated server hosts Ive ever used. And I have used a LOT of them.

MX6.com is on its own server, so we havent been hacked, it was just a software autoupdate that caused some problems with the board. The server itself didnt go down, it just caused an error in the bulletin board software.

We don't share a server with them. We are on our own dedicated server only sharing with Scooby's sites.

Na, Im kidding. I run a couple other sites too. One for Access programmers and some other stuff.

Scoob, I took a Course in College about access, but as all knowledge you learn there you obviously forget some of it if you don't work on it everyday....I am trying to setup a database for work here and I will be importing Customers into a Access database from excel on a Daily basis. Thank Alot Hopefully I can find the help I need on it.
