Is "read request" the same as the message status window which we could check before? (Sorry, newbie here...) I had heard from a few members that they could still check the status of the messages they send on the new board, so that's why I thought the feature was still available... but perhaps I'm just not explaining myself well. And, since I donated (which I thought was contributing...), I thought my PM box would increase. But from what you wrote, it sounds like I must be confused and there is a difference between a contributor and a subscriber. What's the difference?
Edit: But, thanks for the ability to download. I do appreciate all the new features, Scooby. I just liked knowing if/when people read their mail...
Hey kat, we spoke about this, but i finally got those screen shots. You mentioned you do not physically see the following options on your end - you do have to click ok, or yes, or whatever affirmative it offers when it asks if you would like a receipt... but if you dont see these options at all - specifically the message tracking one, then thats probably where the confusion is! maybe its a problem or maybe you don't have this option for whatever reason??
but for the sake of argument, it really does do the same basic thing as a status screen, so no need to get nit picky with the definitions of it.
*edit REALLY helps if i include the pics eh? tracking
tracking examples
err... please ignore that last title/topic.. i was uhh.. asking for advice on an innermost desire

Thank you, Steve! (BTW, love your pics =P ) That's exactly what I was asking about... the ability to track messages and see when they are read. I miss being able to do that! Scooby, what level/title do you need to have access to that feature?
Currently, only moderators and Sponsors can use message tracking. The main reason it is disbaled for everyone else, is that it enables the tracking by default instead of allowing you to enable it per message.
Message tracking doubles the amount of space required to store PMs. If there is a design modification or an update to the system I will consider enabling it for everyone else.
