Software Update

I finally finished updating the software to vB 3.0.1. This will allow me to move forward with the new modifications to the site. They were delayed because of some critical fixes in this release.

So the Arcade is coming soon as well as the portal page.

What is a portal page, I'm confused.

Anyways, this site is awesome without those, it can only get better.

Portal page - like DSMtalk and Probetalk and whatnot have. It's a page before the forums with a misleading name. There will be articles, news, maybe a "Featured Car" pic and forum stats...

Also, Sean just got rid of my room () and replaced it with "Tech Talk," for all of those people that don't really know what a chat room's for. It's okay, my place was kinda starting to smell...

Oh, thats actually disappointing. I really hate the portal page on Probetalk, mostly because its so slow to load and I just like to hurry up and get to the good stuff. Mx6.com is alot faster than PT though so it probably wont be a problem.

Well, the portal page would likely be www.mx6.com whereas the forums will stay www.mx6.com/forums/index.php, so I don't think you'll have too many problems. Plus, like you said, we're better.

For some reason www.mx6.com doesn't work on my browser, it never forwards to the index. Thus I've been using that address anyways .

Thumbs up

I like the idea of a portal page, perhaps something that has general car info on it too (like MX6.com before we got our own forums)? Just general MX6 stats, facts and figures. It's been a while since the old site has been up so I don't remember too much about it anymore. does anyone agree with me on this?
