Mazda 6 mid-size sedan leaked yesterday the Japanese automaker has now released a selection of photos of its all-new family car, showing the vehicle from several angles.
Looking nearly identical to our artists rendering, the 2014 Mazda6 will be the second model to employ a full suite of Skyactiv technologies and the brand’s new Kodo design language. The swoopy curves and sharp angles on the car may be just what Mazda needs to make its sedan stand out against its Japanese rivals.
Set to be revealed at the Moscow Auto Show on August 29th, the 2014 Mazda6 on display will make use of the brand’s new 2.0-lter Skyactiv diesel engine, which will reportedly make around 165 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. It will also employ the brand’s new i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology.
In a release, Mazda says the car, “will stand as the flagship model for a new generation of Mazda products,” combining style, luxury and comfort, along with, “pleasure of responsive and agile driving, which is at the core of the Mazda brand.”
According to a recent leak, the car is set to go on sale in North America in early 2013 with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine, with the 2.0-liter diesel model joining the lineup in October.
