Question High heat paint

I have tried online and looking around at many different auto parts stores for some high heat paint. I have found some but all are really generic. Is there really only a handful of colors out there or am I looking in the wrong places. I am trying to do a "gunmetal" engine color scheme, but the color seems impossible to find for high temps. If all else fails I'll probably go yellow accent with black background... Any ideas of where I can get some alternative colors?

sandblaster eh? I might have to visit you some weekend

you should be able to find some hi-temp ceramc paint in rattle cans pretty easily. Since you're in Auburn, B&B should have a good collection.

lol, k. It isn't a booth though, it's just a gravity fed gun. But I have a bench I am cheaply converting into a back drop with a sand return. I am excited, after shes all blasted and painted she gets reassembled. I'm only waiting on bore diameter for piston rings...

If you want a cheap low to med gloss paint, stove paint is usually good up to 1200 degrees.

ok, I think there are only 2 kinds of green. Shiny metallic green, or the standard green. Which one should I do? I'm thinking standard. I also think I am going with black anodized IC piping so it will compliment each other well.

Shizzle! I couldn't even imagine the cost on that paint! I pretty much have to paint the entire engine with heat treated paint, I going to paint the Block, head, header, and intake manifold "Black" and I want to paint the valve cover, intake, throttle body, distributor, "hard" cooling line, and anything else showing visual another color. Green would be pretty sick! But my colors are limited! LAME!!!

Well, the only place I can find colors for high temp are flashy ugly ones or flat plain ones. I've looked at Schucks, Big Wheel, and G.I. Joes. Other than the block, head, exhaust manifold, and intake manifold. Which other parts "have" to have the high heat paint? If you can use regular paint the color spectrum went HUGE! Or is there a special place you get the goodies from? cause I don't see them.
