Just wanted to update everyone....

I won my class, beating out 3 boys, including our Club Prez, and Scotty, well, he won his class, but his fastest time was still 5 seconds behind me, so Scotty, if your reading this, you owe me!

p.s. the new koni shocks are amazing! made all the difference in the world, and kudos to Scotty for dedicating so much of his time on installation!

If I had a wife I wouldnt have 2 relatively impractical cars to wast my money on.

But now that you bring it up its about time to find another woman. been single almost 6 months.

yeah io fixed most of the prob with a new dist but it still falls on its face @ full throttle then i let up to 3/4 throttle then it picks up. 1 of vris valves arent opening. the actuator and vavuum switch work? ne ideas? i also broke an endlink in the rear (prob from the sticky as hell slicks) but i plan on upgrading neway. also is there a way to upgrade the power steering? cause the stock junk cant handle the stress of the slicks my heavy foot and a really tight slolom

What exactly is it doing/ not doing?

If it's getting too hot try replacing the stock cooler loop with a multi pass finned cooler.

If it feels like its dragging when you whip the wheel back and forth flush and fill the fluid and fix any leaks.

If it just feels too slow you might want to convert to manual.

doing it the right way involves removing the rack tearing it apart and removing all internal seals plugging the fluid ports and packing it with wheel bearing grease.

To keep the PS you will need to determine where the restricted flow is at in the hydraulic system and if possible replace the part or modify it to flow better. If the feed line is too small fabbing a larger one would be relatively easy but if it's the valve assembly then drilling or somthing more drastic might be nessicary.

Heres a link to a few ideas I'll hopefully be trying this summer.

when i whip it through the slaloms it turns one way fine but then when i turn it hard the other way it just gets really hard like there isnt ne power steering. onw of the older club racers in our group use to race one in the 90s. he told me that he always had the same prob especially on chicago boxes and tight slaloms like the one we had set up that day @ our event. im gonna try changing it and make that the fluid in my total change over to synthetics
