Autox/Autocrossing a Mazda MX-6

Hi all,

I'm new to this group and have been autoxing a '94 miata for about 3 years now. My husband refuses to co-drive my car, (he says miatas are too small) so I'm trying to find him a car to autox. We've always been impressed with the mx-6's but have never thought about them as an autocross car. I understand they would compete in g-stock, or STS in scca regulated races and performance upgrades seem pretty affordable (ala ebay). What are your thoughts on this? We are looking at a '93 MX-6 with 150K miles for $1,800. Its a manual transmission, I believe the "LS" model, and has the 24 valve, DOHC. Any advice would be very appreciated!

Piers14, a member here, has a serious road race car. It's a JDM one, so it has a KLZE, and he's done a lot of modifications to make it quicker. Lightened it, roll cage, KSport Suspension, EvoVIII brakes. The things eats Lotus Elise's for breakfast, and Porsches for lunch on a road course, pretty fun to watch.

Another member you may want to talk to is Ryan, he's got his car set up for autocross, it's also an impressive machine.

I tried both of the links to contact those people, and didn't have any luck, is there another way? I'm new to this forum, maybe I did it wrong!

The Porsche and Elise killer sounds awesome!

Yeah, hopefully I don't look like an idiot for cross posting to another thread rather than PMing.
