If you actually read his thread he wasn't out there looking for a race. He was recording his runs when he noticed a lexus.
If you have an opinion, keep it to yourself. This is how you start arguements. Nuff said.

I said people have the weak points and yes I have shut down a few riced out civics in my day but in no way do you see me out there looking for a race.

ZE IM, 65MM TB, Millenia S injectors, HS Headers, MBX Underdrive pulley, Intrax Springs, HS CAI, 2.5" Random Tech Hi-flo cat, 2.5" VRS Exhaust w/magnaflow resonator and muffler, HS STS, NGK plugs, Iridium IX spark plugs, JMUSPIKE ground wires and FD wheels.
14.91@93.74 mph before the ZE IM, 65MM TB and Millenia S injectors were installed and a leaking exhaust. Right now clutch is starting to slip on fast shifts from 1st to 2nd.

seems like you are the one with the panties in a bunch now. All i was trying to say was it gets old how every time there is a street racing thread there has to be at least one person to say how dangerous or stupid it is. Maybe it is dangerous and stupid but thats what fun is sometimes. You are entitled to your opinion but from now on can we please refrain from saying "street racing for FTL!$!$!@##" and just read it and move on. I street race but i dont do weaving in and out of traffic [shizzle].

And what does matter if you look for a race or not? So its different if you are just driving and a civic with an 8 ft wing down shifts next to you compared to you just going out looking for a race and finding one? That makes absolutely no sense at all because what the hell is the difference? if you race, you race.

lets move on to bigger better things..

I'm very curious about the 2007 nissan altima with the v6. it seems to have quite a bit of torque and people say it rips... My cousin has one and swears by it.. unfortunatly he lives cross state and I dont want to drive up there ot prove a point.. BUT I WILL!!! but ither wy this seems cheaper.. its the one with the SVT tranny. he says he's dooing 6.5 0-60.... I dont belive him because i know his car is prettymuch stock.. but it does have a 3.5 v6 and 250tq.. so... anyone ?

It would be a close match, but the Altima would hand you a new one

Actually, it was prohibition that started the roots for NASCAR

But anyways, this is the racing forum, not I drove around a Lexus forum.

Besides, do you really think that an stock/basically stock LS would beat an NA Supra engine? I have my doubts.

na supra engine? well depends which IS youre talking about. is200 isnt fast, but the is250 and is300 would be a tough match.

unless i missed where it said what model it was

those NEW 2 door altimas have the 350z engine (3.5 v6) in it right? So 6 second range to 60 is very believable for a car that has 278 hp

EDIT: here found some info

It has a 3.5-liter V6 rated for 270 hp at 6,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm.

Although a six-speed manual is available, most 3.5 SE Coupes will be sold with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with which our test car has been equipped. Most will also have the $3,200 Premium Package — good for xenon headlights, leather upholstery, Bose sound and automatic climate control.

Our test car did without the premium luxuries. Antilock disc brakes and all the expected airbags were on board, but stability control costs $600 extra.

Quick by Numbers, Quicker by Feel
The lack of amenities went largely unnoticed, as the Nissan Altima coupe has other ways of making its driver feel energized.

It's not with overpowering speed, though. A 0-60-mph time in the 6.0-second range and a quarter-mile time just under 15.0 seconds no longer make anyone feel entirely special, not even in the sensible coupe class. Our CVT-equipped coupe ran to 60 mph in 6.4 seconds, then laid down a quarter-mile in 14.8 seconds, a couple tenths quicker than the Altima sedan.

My guess is the IS300 aka Toyota Altezza, with the 3L NA 2JZ engine.

Why someone would rice one out...who knows.

we didn't get the IS200....IS300 came here a few years ago, and recently the IS250 and 350.
