Didn't realise we were in the 2g section, didn't realise that 2g was even mentioned :-) Oh wait, it wasn't :-)

No importing of those to NZ anymore, not since Jan 1.

He has a 2nd gen. Was reffering to Australian 2nd gens and obviously mistook our 4ws with awd (though I would trade it for awd anyday ). And Mike and I were having a jab at it. So 2nd gens were mentioned.

For [shizzle]s and giggles, I was searching awd mx6's.

A first gen could be done(has been), [fizzle] a 2nd gen would be harder. Definately no small(define small) suspension fix and gearbox swap mainly because there is nothing to swap from that is remotely similar. Yes there is that awd 626 wagon or something but you still need to find a manual box (any east west awd toyotas??, evo boxes are known to be quite tough actually...) Would be chopping out heaps of car and have not much mx6 left though. No one say rwd.

Fred, you should do it even though you dont like the look of the 2nd gens.

No point to this post, I just dont wanna go to sleep.

I need a light small fast rwd car for daily commuting at some point. not sure what it will be, but it might be a fwd converted. I want it to be attractive, slow, boring, and practical stock. I'll keep it looking stock and rwd, power, brakes etc it so i can cane around daily without using as much gas as a heavy skyline/stagea/ute etc uses when pushed hard. Something NA like a KLZE kp61 starlet swap or similar. Thing is, old cars get a reputation for being driven hard and not being legal, so a newer more boring shell might be in order.
