ZE : If your car looks fast, you will get pulled over a lot. It's that simple. I want to get about my business quickly and have fun doing it without being constantly hassled...

The most I've ever gotten pull over in is the butt ugly Taurus I used to own, maxed out speedo on a 65 zone second most is in my ex's Honda Accord seden, never in the MX-6... I guess the Taurus and Accord look hella faster

Seriously, that's not how cops pick what car to pull over. It's more like their radar detect a sine wave that indicate you going way over the speed limit, or you just driving like a jackass, which 99% of the speeder do.

Chrome wheels, funny tail lights, tinted windows, loud exhaust, just being a skyline, silvia, wrx, evo, etc

will definitely get you pulled over.

i got pulled over more in my old matt black mitsi mirage though, that just screamed dodgy :-)

Skyline a lot, ute never... except when sideways/caught on radar etc. But, you get that...

When I say ugly and fast I was referring the EVO, I guess I got confused on what you were referring to with your ugly and and fast

Nah, I just meant generally, anything ugly and slow, but not slow ;-) ie ugly and fast. or something beautiful, but gutless, like say an aston martin with a 750cc mini engine in it :-)

[fizzle] that

How about a mini with an aston v8 in it? hell yeah.

etc.

Just to clear up the whole MS6 vs EVO thing I'd like to point out that the 6 (mid sized)was never designed to run with a compact sedan.

The natural enemy of the MS6 would be the Legacy GT and I'd say (baring any special jap only version)the MS cleans up in that comparo.

It proabably fits in better with certain Audi's and similar euro cars.

Maybe if mitsu still made a VR4 Galant it would compare well with the 6.

Speaking of junkyard rigged conversions I'm seriously thinking of putting an FC RX7 rear under my Pontiac T/A.

I have seen Vette swaps done but those are expensive. The 2G 7 uses a similar rear and is common.

90 pontiac transam. 350 TPI motor new 24# injectors. That's all for now.

You cant have fast and good looking. Good looking goes beyond what you think of the car, it also means comfort, noise etc what makes a modern (say year 2000+) car what they are. An evo does a decent job of it though EXCEPT as Fred pointed out bitsamitsi. Sure "new mitsu's arent as bad as the old/early 90's ones" but that is only because the new ones arent old enough yet to actually see if they do last.

1 fast car as a toy, 1 slow(er) car that looks good. Except for Fred, who likes his daily drivers ugly, inconspicuous, light, quick and able to go sideways.

Nicely summed up :-)

Quick off the mark is the key thing. Nipping in and out of driveways and roads around residential and industrial places and taking small gaps in traffic. 160kph top speed would be more than adequate for that car.

Mazda 323 KLZE video - Page 2 - ProbeTalk.com Forums

mid 14's from a ZE with no mods and just a light car. That would do me nicely if it were rwd and light. I should figure out a common car that is lightish with a bit of room that I can strip and swap stuff into.

Disagree... I got at least 3 speeding tickets in my old '89 mx6 DX.... one occasion I did deserve it, and I was the only person on the road. The other two occasions, I was picked out from a group of cars going the same speed, or I was even going slower than other cars in the group, and *I* got the ticket. The Corvette next to me, did not get the ticket, the pickup truck passing me did not get the ticket--- the "Rice-burner" which was a Flat Rock Michigan Ricer Burner I might add.. got the ticket.

I sped just as much with My boring white corolla... never one ticket. I've only had my 5 door 626 for one year.. and not a ticket yet, granted my driving style has changed significantly since I no longer commute (work at home now), still.. At least in the States, Police definitely look at the car when they decide to ticket. The single car I see pulled over more than any other - Mitsubishi Eclipses.. Cops love to ticket eclipses...
