REDEMPTION, at last...

As a couple of you guys know I lost a close race to a Cadillac the other day so I was driving around all pissed, basically for the whole week after that. The other night I was going to a bar to meet some friends and my roommate and I came across a nice little silver Jetta TDi. I raced him three lights in a row and I'm sorry to say that hands down, I won. I even had an extra person since the Jetta was driving solo. First gear is close and basically it comes down to how you shift second cuz if you hesitate that turbo will get ya. Nway, later that night my friend at the bar brought his parents brand new Altima 2.5S. He said, I have 240 horsepower there is no way you can beat me with your "dirty bird" (that's my car's nickname around my friends...long story) I was like...dude, my car is lighter and I don't need all that horsepower to beat you. So we raced a couple lights just to see, both of us being car guys and all...I'm happy to report that my 6 beat him hands down by three car lengths. I mean, that Altima is still pretty peppy for a 4 door but hey, I won. So now I'm driving around hunting for that Golf with that loud blow off valve. Him and I need to have another go at it. hehe.

it's phat (at least to me)

Thats just a little taste of redemption since that crazy Caddy is still driving around. Get another run with him and then you'll really feel better about the whole ordeal.

I'ts a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake, if the way is hazy
You gotta do the cooking by the book, you know you can't be lazy

those altimas aren't quite hitting a 14.4 most of the times i've seen are between 14.8 and 15 flat. i raced a 3.5 and beat it, but not until the place where, if im going to win a race, i always pull ahead, which is about 45 mph. they're quick cars man. the 2.5 is even pretty decent. thats a four cylinder that's the size of our v6, and it cranks out 11 more horsepower!

how do you guys feela bout the way they look? i really think they're tasteful, but some like it

Maybe the guy isaw had a mod or could drive it. I'm looking to see what the magazines put it at out of curiosity.
EDIT: You are right... the magazines show it at 14.7 LMAO... according to them on the altima site they blow away modded GTP's all day like it was nothing!

I sure hope you beat a Jetta TDi, but remember, he maybe used 3 cents of gas the whole race....

a modded gtp would rip into that thing like there was no tomorrow. the gtp is one of the few american cars that i really respect. in fact, now that i think about it, there are two. that, and the z06.

yeah, well...to end all the speculation...I beat the Jetta TDi and the 2.5L Altima. I know I won and no one can take it away from me...not the fact that they used no gas or the fact that the 3.5L is faster than the one I beat. @- Regardless, I need mods and I need to improve on my skills as a racer. Keep it safe out there, I know I almost lost control over my car a couple times here and there (bumpy roads) Thanks for all the responses.
