I4 1/4 mile times? on a stock,

I know the 4 banger only has about 118 hp, so i dont expect much from it i just want to know the 1/4 times on a stock 1, I heard the LS models are suppose to run high 15's stock, so i guess we get high 18-20's? damn thats slow lol,

in the 1/8, i ran a 10.72, on one bald tire and one with like 20% tread left (the bald tire was showing the metal staple things that are in the tire. i mean, it was BALD). and aparently the last owners used a d-clamp to attach the muffler to the pipe, and when i put my a'pexi n1 on there, the ppl whol welded it didn't take off the d-clamp and weld it (i didn't ask them to, so i GUESS that can be some excuse). anyway, i thought it was pretty good. i also took out my spare tire and jack. if you can do the math, which i can't, you can figure out what you would run in the 1/4.

its impossible to calculate your 1/4th time from a 1/8th time...unless you work for nasa or have a degree from mit, how does your apexi n1 sound on the 4 cylinder?

Maybe mine's just a freak engine..but I can run low 15's pretty much stock...w/ 125,000 miles. I just went to the track wednesday..there's a post on it. I ran a 15.632 with a horrible launch..If I can ever get a good one, I hope i'll be 15.3-4 All i have is a CAI and muffler..which i'd like to get rid of to get rid of the "rice" image that some people think, but don't want to pay money to get a stocck muffler...anyway, i'd bet you could get mid-high 16's

really, i think my muffler sounds good, until about 4500 rpms, then it just doesn't really make a sound. it's nice and deep, esp. at 3500. it's surprising, cuz i'm still running my 2" piping and stock airbox thing. yeah, i think i actually got a freak engine, cuz everyone i know w/ a 93 626/mx-6, they are havin MO' troubles w/ their engines, and mine has run fine, knock on wood. anyway, yeah, i actually like the n1....it sounds nice!! not like a weedeater, that's familiar w/ all the honda's around here in Louie, KY. god, they sould so ugly......

lol, that's hilarious. wish mine could do that. oh well. so, you think the 2 1/4 is better than 2 1/2?? i'm going to upgrade my piping as soon as i get my CAI, but i don't know which size to go to. any suggestions, or comments, to woo me over to the 2 1/4 side??

ya some body said for the i4 its better off to get a 2 1/4 because a 1/2 would be to much, unless you have turbo/nos/supercharger, but imma new bie so i couldnt tellyou its just what i heard, and 1 of the brackets fell off from my muffler its hitting my axel, so im bout to try to get my $ back tomorrow

havent ran it yet...im gonna do a little work to it this winter and we'll see what happens come spring time, unless i buy a 1g dsm over the winter for my track needs, but i'll still keep the 6 for a daily driver....my muffler is a brospeed single tip polished deal lookin thing...sounds sweet from indide the car, but raspy sounding from outside, it also looks like it needs to let more exhaust through, it moves alot and sounds like it needs to be bigger inside...but for $62, not bad...im looking for something better sounding like a borla muffler or hks, and im gonna run custom pipe and a free flow cat, unless i get the dsm

I ran a 17.2 at 78mph. it was about 1000ft above sea level.
to make another excuse, my clutch also had about 125k on it. new clutch now, but its the end of the season, we'll see what I run next year.

a 4 banger mx6 will definately not run in the 16's... the best it would do is in the 17s..

Not true at all, my friend who owns the I4 manual had run a 16.7 with only a magnaflow-- so I can say i have seen a I4 run in the 16's with such a little mod ( also like i said earlier-- he is one of the best drivers)-- so i can see an average driver being stuck in the low to mid 17's
