Sometimes doesnt get email notification

I have noticed sometimes i dont get email notifications for all threads.

This happens mostly when i am browisnt the forums i dont get replies to my email.

Also happens alot with lounge threads.

Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this. Its nt that big of a deal, but i rely on email notifications to help remember what threads i am in, otherwise i forget and people ask me a Q and i dont reply till days laters.

Also i noticed today that i had received karma from a newer member which put me at 435. Then when i checked the karma later i was still at 435 but the karma comment was gone?

I think there's a bug that if you check the thread too close to when someone replies, you won't get a notification. I think I've experienced this before.. but doesn't happen too often.

As for the karma thing.. who cares, it was just one point.

About the karma, well, i still got the point or whatever, but i just found it funny that the comment dissapeared.

I think you only get one notification unless you check the thread. In other words, if you get email notification of a post, even if 7 people post after that you will only get one email. Does that make sense or did you already know that?

that's happened to me sometimes. but the other thing about the 1 email that DOES NOT happen to me, i usually receive 1 email PER REPLY even if i have not revisited the thread...

The mail system is tied to what VB3 sends it. VB3 sends batch emails (ie groups) and if your there or are active in a thread it wont email you (ie pulls it from the next batch)

Any luck with figuring out whats going on with the email? I'm still not getting a single email from MX6.com and I'm 99.9999999999% sure it's not my spam settings (MX6.com and IPs have been whitelisted).

For side notes, I have not gotten any email since the site changeover....

It looks like our server was added to an Internet Spam blacklist. So the emails are being blocked by your ISPs servers before they even get to your mail program.
I am going to have to work to change our IP address and try to get the domain removed from the spammer blacklists.

We are trying to work it out so the IP switch doesnt cause any downtime. We will also forward all traffic from the old IP, so no should even notice when the switch happens.
