(past threads) usually involve the blatant trading of karma. Example- when the site turned over, I got a few points from people I had never heard of before. When I checked into it I found a thread talking about how my karma was worth 18. I think the two or three people thought they were going to get it back.
Scooby- I thought fireworks were going to go off when I hit 20,000 posts. Instead, nothing happened. It would have been cool if you could have made time stand still or a hole open in the sky. All in all, I was fine.
I do think I like this new, more level playing field.
Wikipedia is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) in which participants play editors of a hypothetical online encyclopedia, where they try to insert misinformation that they are randomly assigned when they create their accounts, while preventing contrary information from being entered by others. Players with similar misinformation to promote will generally form "guilds" in order to aid each other.

Seriously though I thought something would change, color of stars maybe. I remember things like extra stars and the color changed once. Is there anything higher or different than the what's already been discussed? I know the stars stop at 5 and the contributor color is yellow instead of blue. Is there anything that changes for a higher post count or karma value? Maybe 25k?
I just figured that there would be. I figured 20K was an even amount and there might be a change for the hitting 5K more mark, or hitting 20K. I was actually pretty excited.
Because hes been here since 2003 .. to be a vet its a combination of Posts and being a member for 1 yr .. I think the power rule gives more weight to how long youve been a member than to how many posts or karma you have ..

I seriously was thinking "20K has got to be something." I tried not to post just to post and figured that 20K would come evetually. When it came and went and nothing happened, I thought..."Well that sucked."
We'll see. I still plan on being here for awhile. I've lost interest a few times here and there, mostly when I've remembered to take my OCD meds.
