I was setting up a host table just for the fun of it on my comp and was trying to get the IP addy to mx6.com and the addy I get takes me to fordforums.com .. I was wondering why it goes to that site.. and if I am allowed to have it whats the IP addy I can use to navigate to mx6.com

My guess is that is has to do with the server move/ownership change.

that would make sense, because fordforums is part of the same group that this site is now.

Welcome to the world of virtual servers. When you connect to "www.mx6.com", your browser does a DNS lookup and gives you back the IP, the browser then connects that IP with a referrer that says: "I want mx6.com." The webserver then uses that info to send mx6.com instead of whateverelse.com An IP doesn't have the required referrer data, so you get what ever the server defaults to.
