Site Sponsorship And Sales Questions

Hey guys, I would like to clarify the policy on individual sales and sponsorship on the site. Since we have no automated sign up anymore, anyone who is interested in selling anything on a large scale on the site is asked to contact rjones@autoforums.com. Richard handles all advertising/vendor inquiries on the site, and has all the information you need. In addition, we can negotiate a customized rate for anyone who is a small vendor, or a user who just wants to sell some stuff they made in their garage or shop. Thanks. If you have any questions, let me know and I will answer them as I am here on the site. Cheers!

While my comrades may not have worded things properly I also agree that it would be beneficial to post the cost associated with sponsorship. If you can't give an exact number, how about a ballpark figure?

Also, you could ask Richard to log in just this once to subscribe to this thread. I think we all need to hear from him.

Agreed.

Also how does autoforums plan to investigate potential people that apply? If you know anything about the history here, which you dont, there have been multiple high dollar scams in the past.

And the only way to weed out the potential bastards is to be aware of the members who are potential issues. The only way to do this is to be PART of the forum- which autoforums is not.- hence the reason people have so many issues....lack of any communication whatsoever by the current "Administration".

Agreed. The staff, which know more about about people then others might care to know, and many thanks to other non moderators who also keep us informed, have not be removed 100% from this process.

Fixed

Exactly, the guys will let me know of any known scammers and I will remove them. In fact I'm sure they will jump all over it. Pricing is flexible and I don't handle that side of things, and the sales guys will work out something with each user on a case by case basis. Posting dollar figures is not an option since the small sellers are dealt with as they come. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't clarify. It was the foul language.

As part of the new policy change I feel its also valid that all members are made aware of this. Since, in the past the team did investigation into new sponsors.

I agree that we should look out for the users, we just don't have the resources to do a background check on every advertiser. Look at the enerpulse thing. I have now seen a couple threads on a few different forums about their shoddy product, and I am going to flag it to the sales department. Even if I flag it, it still doesn't mean that they will be pulled from our roster. It is not up to me.

Bro what you're failing to realize is that due to the issues that MX6.com is facing, many prominent members are no longer logging on. I don't see how some of the things that have been done are so "I'm the new owner and thats why" are just left that way and members who have been here for years are supposed to be cool with it. It doesnt work that way Bro. What about the people who have given money for "premium membership" and got nothing in return? I've contributed many times to the site with info as well as monetary value but...not so much anymore. All it would take is a little more effort on the current "owners" part and it would do a world of good for people who really feel like they've been shlt on.

The mods can testify that we have been working hard behind the scenes to see eye to eye on all the issues we have been having. It has been a "growing pains" kind of exchange so far, but is cooling down now and level heads are prevailing. Soon you will see everything "back to normal" and we will all get along as we are supposed to. I appreciate the honesty from everyone thus far, and as I have stated to the moderators before, this community is very unique, and I will treat it as such moving forwards. Thanks for the input.
