website causing explorer to freeze

in the last month or so I notice ALOT of advertising on this site. Not the normal banner adds, but the kind that automatically expand to cover up everything your trying to read or see, and have to really search hard into the add to find the teenie tiny little close X.

This is starting to get anoying, also there are certain words highlighted in each and every post, that also make these adds pop up.

The point is, this is causing my explorer windows to freeze, I end up having to open task manager and close the window and start over.

Recently, I cant even access my PMS. When trying to, It causes my window to freeze before the PM box or reply PM even comes into view.

This is on my home computer (laptop with vista) and All my work computers (desktops with XP)

I was actually jsut about to complain about the ads. Advertising on a website i can understand, but these roll over type ones are so [fizzle]ing annoying. everytime i go to switch tabs i set them off.

You can turn the intellitext ads off in your user control panel.

You can also stop the ads through your browser if you are using firefox. PM me for details.

where at?

I dont have firefox, also dont feel that I should have to add/upgrade anything on my computer to be a member here I pretty much migrated to probetalk, mx6.com- nothing gets updated, takes everything to long to load, browser freezeing, constantly having to close those expandable pop ups.. It feels like one of them websites that traps you with pop ups when ever you try to view content, all this site has going for it is they actually have those little close box X's, some websites dont have them ..

It is only $15 a year for the silver membership. I used to pay to support the site anyway even before Autoforums took over.

Anyone looking to turn intelli-text off, its Control Panel > Edit Profile, about halfway down.

We have isolated the problem to a certain ad provided through an outside source. You should experience no more issues moving forwards. Thanks for your patience and support!
