For Off... All i can say is make sure you have EVERYTHING the first time you ever do the install... make sure you READ up on everything before you do the install... we are on day 3 of this horrific install... i mean everything looks AWESOME its just such a pain... too many hours locating parts and having to modify ALOT of parts... Just make sure you have a helping hand that has a sense of humor... too many things to laugh at as it happens...
1)The Mx6 requires either taking out the condensor fan or using a slim line fan...
2)Must remove and relocate the battery (which was one of the easiest things in the whole project)...
3)I still need to wrap my down pipe so I dont melt my disty cap from the heat...
4)the cross member holding the front motor mount has to be cut and modified to fit...
5)The rear cross member where the exhaust connects needs to be cut and modified (thats if you decide to keep it cause you dont have to but you will get a little chassis flex)...
6)Have to move the coolant tank either to the left or right... I moved mine to the right against headlight bracket... where it sits I got rid of a bunch of useless brackets and such to make sure you have enough room for the filter on the turbo and thats if you wanna run a filter cause you dont have to but you risk sucking in debris and destroying either your turbo or worse... your engine...
7)Hex bolt (3/8 to 1/8 copper fitting if you use a double sided -4an line like I did) must be removed for oil feed line and that hex bolt is right next to the clutch slave cylinder and the oil feed line must be 24 inches or more long...
8)The oil return line has to be about 1 and a half feet long... make sure the oil return line isnt too short or too long...
9)Make sure you have a STEEL bung (-12an) for oil return cause a aluminum bung WONT weld right to our oil pans...
10)Test fit everything before you decide where to put your oil bung...
11)Make sure when you start bolting the pipes together you leave everything loose so you can adjust them to fit right before bolting everything down hard...
12)Make sure you have EVERY bolt to bolt down the pipes and turbo and DP before you start...
Number one thing is make sure you have EVERYTHING before starting...
I now understand why they say dont do this to a Daily Driver...
I'll keep adding more things as I run into them...
and pics will be up soon...
well im waiting for lance to post them up... and im having huge problems with the collectors and the cross member... i am gonna have to grind down both instead of cutting them... as of right now im running open shorties... and omg they are loud as hell and my CAI felt the need to fall off on the highway today... it got ran over... lol so im sucking in all of the hot air now from the headers... and everything... it sounds awesome other then it sounding like being at the nascar races... sounds like a 7 cylinder engine... too deep for a 6 cylinder but not enough bite for a 8 cylinder... lol
lol, i had my filter on my intake fall off when i hit a curb a long time ago and it got all smashed up and i had dirt all under my car, i wish i had a picture of it. i had to drive it with a ghetto filter for a day until i got out of school and then i got a new one.
yea... but i will tell you guitar... the turbo install is gonna piss you off left and right BUT i know that its gonna be well worth it... and everyone is gonna hate cause all ive heard is that im gonna blow my engine and im like thanks for the faith...
[shizzle] I wish... im sick of everything that keeps coming up... but o well... ill hopefully be able to finish before monday... I need longer oil return line and I need to order my fmic kit... and a few other things...
