Ah a pretty good meet. Nice to see everyone again and also nice to meet you Stu. I wants a CAI kit now! How bad are you tempting me with that? Very nice! It's definately got to be done. I took a few pics also if you wants more of a nose.

Cheers for a grand afternoon out guys... it made a huge difference to my state of mind and took my mind off other things that have happened this weekend.

Thanks to Stu, I have now driven another 6 for the first time... mainly to sample the CAI, but I as Stu's was std suspension and brakes, I got to notice the difference my lowering springs and Mintex pads/tarox disks make.
After driving Stu's bling mobile I did have a rather large grin on my face. The CAI makes a great noise... sounds like a proper race car inside

The main difference I noticed in the power was a more even distribution of power through the entire rev range. As Stu mentioned at the meet, my car is quick off the mark, flatens about 3k then kicks at about 5k.
No such variations on Stu's the power is there throughout and does seem to get to a higher speed at than at the same rev as mine.

Jase was having probs reading his code, so John gave it a go... it seems that either Jase has absolutely no error codes (even with bits of the engine disconnected) or something wrong with retrieving the codes. Althogh I wasn't there when John completed his 'experiment' it seems we have found a car to foil the MOTY

Ken, I didn't clean her, Stu's camera is VERY forgiving. You should see the dirt/salt on her. I WILL wash her at somepoint this week. I'm going to need something to occupy my mind
Thanks again guys.

P.S. I got revenge on John for letting me leave first at the last meet. He has now sampled the HID's in his rear view mirror.

Good meeting again guys.. and nice to meet Stuzzer at last... a true gent

Yeah.. the mirrors will fit... even if I have to stick em on with insulation tape
You were never in the running Russ but the STB did lean it over a bit

figured out the wiring too... 12v and they move to the end and stop automatically.. reverse polarity and they go back, and stop.. I need a changeover timer relay type thingamawotsit...

Jase, dunno mate, pulling that connection off should have given a 09 code... you probably need to check the FEN and TEN connection from the ECU to the diags box.. (next meet I spose )

Now you lot have a comparison pic of the lights.... you may think yours are white.... until they are at the side of HID lights ! AND NOT BEHIND ME... eh Russ

Oh well, quick look on Maplins site then

Laterz guys

I love the way I can wind the HIDs up to "dazzling in the mirror" level using the in-car adjuster. Very slow drivers now get out of the way damn quick when I so desire...

LOL... nice one Ken...

Mirrors sorted... two timer relays wired to lock and open of alarm... wired together, but with outputs reversed.... whichever relay is activated sends the right polarity to the mirrors... about £4 each

Cool as penguin piss

I know that John... but it was fun anyway. I never doubted youd find a way to fit them. Afterall it was only a very minor difference on the mirrors.

Only single outputs on them relays thinking cap back on.

I may just get a changeover relay, and wire it to the ignition..
dunno yet, just pondering

OK, We still going for 27th for another 'get together'??
I ask as I have a few other things to organise and, well, this takes priority
Jase can show us his CAI, I can not decide to get one again, Stu can show us his tidier boot, John with his not folding, folding mirrors.... the fun just goes on and on
