The Northern Meets

Hi all, just wondered if there are any midlands or south yorks members that meet up regularly as I have looked around and all the meets seem to be down south. I live near leicester and dont mind travelling for a meet but a 300 mile round trip is a bit much on a week night. Now that all the summer events are over (TOTB3 n Trax etc) and daylight is fading fast it seems I may have left it too late for getting together with other owners.

Are there any other national events coming up or is that it for this year??

Also, I have a host of video clips n pics from TOTB3 if anyone is interested. Corvettes, vipers, supras, skylines, scoobys, allsorts including a 201mph supra locking up for 200 yards and rocket ronnies 10.8s quarter mile run.

Hi Stu..

unfortunately us northerners don't get to meet up as much, as there isn't as many of us in one place..

however, this is changing, with a few more members popping up around Manchester area, and S[mangina]horpe/Hull, Tyne/Teeside etc..

My suggestion is if we do organise a northern meet, we need to pick a place that is most central to everyone, and hopefully somewhere that is interesting.

Trouble is we're running out of decent weather and daylight at the mo which is a shame coz cruises do my head in (too much plod!) and all the UK events have been n gone.

Well, it looks like we are getting more members from up north... I reckon at this rate, we should be able to have a mini meet sometime in the near future..
Talking of northerners.. not heard from Mark626GT for ages... and he missed Trax

I would be interested in a northern meet guys. I have a good location for the A1 and M1 so getting up there is'nt a problem. I work around Lincs/ S yorks alot so I don't mind travelling if its gonna be worth it. Keep me posted.

I've been trying to get a Hull meet going... but a lack of interest scuppered that idea.
Looks like a Northern Meet is the way to get.
I was thinking somewhere like the Yorkshire sculpture park would be a decent place. Large car park... coffee house and just off the M1.
thoughts anyone?

I can only really guarantee making Sundays coz I'm never sure what day off i'm gonna get in the week.

Junction 38 if I remember correctly.
Come on guys.. lets see of we can get something together while we still have a chance of decent weather (did I just say that???)

Junction 38 it is..

from the south, take the second exit from the r'bout toward Huddersfield.. park is on the left.

From north, go round the r'bout and take the 4th exit toward Hudds

Blimey! J38 is a spank and a half for me (i'm at J21 Leicester). I would make the effort tho if its gonna be worth it. Going to the New Forest meet on 25th to meet up with "the Southerners" which i'm looking forward to.

Make it happen northern lads!
