Willr and Lucy's Wedding

OK, not a car event, but still a significant club event...

Stag day was today - thanks guys for organising it, but I'm not so sure I'll be saying that in the morning when the aches really set in!

We went paintballing and quad-bike riding at a site near Dorking.
Great fun, despite the usual rip-off merchants not giving anywhere near enough balls.

Last time, I said "never agin" - when will I ever learn?

Anyway, a couple of todays photos:

The Motley Crew

Roland the Jackal

Willr relaxed, possibly for the last ever time:

Last game - the fortress:

Wedding pics to follow in two weeks...........

Ken
PS, Will has asked 3 of us to bring shiny MX6's as the wedding cars, so it's a "mini meet" really - especially with all his "mini club" pals there.

Better start polishing I guess, looked fun guys, sorry I couldnt make it I normally get too carried away at paintball tho and get red carded for aggressive behaviour. Spoil sports, I never knew rifle butting wasnt allowed, what else do you do when you run out of rounds???? I guess ill never make a proper civvy.

In the last pic, is that Roland "the jackall" planning the next wave of bloody destruction????

Actually, I think it's Will's prospective Father-In-Law...

Good call on the Jackal name for Roland though, you should have seen the aggression...

As for what to do when you're out of rounds - you get shot to [shizzle] like we did on one game! "Kamakazi...." straight down the middle, grenades all over the place.

OH THATS HURTS marty....... that guys much to slim but

Yes.......... I was planning OUR overwhelming charge of the light brigade down the middle of the coarse.... ........as Ken will able justify, as with me he was in the forefront of a 20 strong team dash guns blazing (sod the game attitude :flipa: we took on this one) but in Major General Kens case ,,,,,only armed with a smoke grenade (VC on its way to you....... "postumously"......Sir)

....and also I must mention in despatches Rambo WILL and Suicide Stuart for their valiant mad efforts in overcomeing the Taliban

A finer scene you will not ever see, as it resembled the final epic showdown in

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid........ got to the end with 8 holes in me god it hurts still now.

Quad bike good mud but still not fast enough for me

Hopefully Willr and Stuart will make amends for the pain I am suffering as I type, at the even more epic event in a fortnight….scary

As for the side shot ken The name given to this picture should be "Kamikaze = suicide is painless"...........games like this require triple padding and beforehand

God I ache

Yeah, there was lots of good rust around that particular bit of the lane.

Reminds me, I must check the underneath for dings today...

LOL guys was a top day out, i managed to escape the day with just 2 bruises which is not to bad .

Roland i was killing meself laughing during the kamikazee charge i was offereing supportive fire from the defensive area at this stage .

The fort thou was the tricky one, There were only two of us left and i was moving forward towards the flags behind my shield when all hell let loose i had like 8 people firing at me non stop unfortantly one got through and smacked me on the wrist ouch that hurts this morning .

Ken top strat on the big game mate, taking the flag from the start with me offering ya the cover fire while you charged .

Quad biking was great fun, i was abit nervous b4 hand but once on the bike i was ready to go flat out shame they didnt let us unleash it full throttle .

Willr you lucky git how you got out of there without getting ur stag day shooting ill never no .

Oh well the wedding is next trying to think how we can make up fo him missing his birthday brusing

Stu

ps Ken that pic of roland LOL LOL LOL

Im back better than ever

The most amusing moment was the look in Kens eyes when he was volunteering to do a suicide run armed only with a smoke grenade It was at that point that Roland suggested we all ran straight at them... @-

I only managed to get shot twice, although one of those times was with a spattering right up my back... I've go a nice line of bruses across my back LOL.

A good day in all tho, and i'm glad you enjoyed it.

Well I'm glad to see our wedding is worthy of a mention in your events pages. Amusing pictures! Glad my hen night was not in a field of mud, not that I'm too girly you understand, just don't really see the point in pain and mud for fun

Would have posted before but can't do it from school (I'm a teacher by the way, wouldn't want to get Will a reputation ) as Hampshire CC (I'll leave you to decide what CC stands for) have a new filtering poilcy which means I can't look at anything other than the BBC news. Can't even view a site about deforestation inthe rainforest which is not particularly helpful being a geography teacher ! Think MX6.com is classed as porn or something similar......

Anyway big thanks to the part some of you guys are playing in the actual event...now all I have to worry about is how to get in and out of a 6 elegantly while wearing a huge meringue. Have taken a whole day off today to figure it out! Though it will probably be easier than trying to get in and out of the RX in the school car park.....I am the coolest teacher in Hampshire

Hi Lucy,

You're welcome.
(Not too stressed out yet I hope.)

Cheers,
Ken

I was going to suggest we all take the front passenger seat out and have the girls stand up, out of the sunroof like the pope mobil. Lots of hairspray Lucy lololol. Managed to book my room this morning at the Hotel, thought I would be too late...but not however..phew.

Just thought it appropriate to wish Will n Lucy all the best for tommorow, few of us going to be there but good luck all the same. Weather looks promising (fingers crossed) Ive cleaned the car, but the rain has made polishing her very difficult, heres hoping i can sort it by 3pm tommoz.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have had the day off for car cleaning eh KEN?????

Washing and hoovering yes - polishing no. Every time I took the Autoglym bottle out it rained.

Still, the water is still pooling nicely, so there must be plenty left on from last time...

Anyway, what I really wanted the day off for was to go looking for 42" plasme screens - just don't tell Lin yet.

Marty, Stu - are you going to the hotel first?
Lin and I are leaving here about 11:30 so we can get settled in the hotel in plenty of time. (I'd sooner be an hour early than 5 minutes late.)
