run to the sun

hi all

its run to the sun coming up in sunny cornwall, on the bank holiday weekend of the 25th - 28th may. i was wondering how many mx6 owners are going to it, and if any one wanted to meet up in this lovely part of the country. the event is in newquay in cornwall please let us know who is going so we can all possably arrage to meet up

hi matt when we know who is up for it we can arrange a time and date ...
come on all you mx6 owners join in to make this a regular yearly meet so we can show all the beetle owners that mx6 cars are much better than those horrable beetles. let make a descent meet for mx6 owners at a lovely seaside resort all the best

newbie jumping in here, as I know this event from almost 20yrs ago.

I used to go on these many, many, many years ago. My mate had a black and red Baja bug and I had a Yellow one. It used to a VW event run by Volksworld magazine, has it now evolved into other stuff? We would all meet up near Wellingborough and head down the M1/M25 to Heston services on the M4 where it started of at around 8am.

We were a regular feature down there from about 88 to 92, still got some photos in the drawer somewhere.

Lots of fond memories, especially of the blonde girl I met back in 91.

its still a vw event and also custom car show. i just thought it would be nice to have a few cars meet up at this yearly event, where people who are proud of there cars can show them around the streets of newquay in cornwall, and also meet up as its chance to also have a weekend break in sunny cornwall. and hopefully have a chance so all mx6 owners can meet up and join in the convoy of all style cars from beetles to custom cars
