Trax 2009

Trax 2009 is already up. 6TH September.

Previous years this has been a good event. Last year I couldn’t go because of the 6 being off the road, not many others were interested for their own reasons so it got passed by, but with Japfest being so successful this year maybe a show of hands is necessary.

Tickets are £15 in advance - £20 on the gate.
(Under 14's get in FREE)
Car passes are only allocated to advance ticket holders.
Track Time is £30 per sesion
0-60 Sprint test £7 per run

Anyone showing interest please indicate how many advance tickets you would require.

Track Time Info (From The Trax Website)
Q. Do I need a licence to go on track?
A. Yes. A full UK (or other EU state) driving
licence must be presented when signing on.
Bring both parts if you have a photocard
licence.

Q. What time should I arrive?
A. Gates open to the public at 9am. You
need to go to the Brooklands Suite as early
as possible to guarantee your track time, if
you haven’t purchased in advance.

Q. My licence is away at the DVLA/police station. Can I bring a photocopy?
A. No. You must bring the original (both parts
if you have a photocard licence).

Trackside, you betcha ....

Have to get my regular fix of hot brake linings, hot oil etc....

I managed to get Simon (Maputosimon) a spare tabard at the 2007 Trax, so I can try again but cannot guarantee it.

When I sign on in the Media Centre, I'll bring you along and you can be my photographic assistant for the day ....

Even tho Cruisemad Kyle isnt around any more i'm sure he's running a mile as we speak!

RJ, i'll give you a shou nearer to Ten of the Best so we can meet up. If anyone else is interested this is a great day out for petrolhead. Not really a meet, more of a performance day.

I have e-mailed the organisers and they have given some details about booking.

Going from past experience it sometimes take a few people some time to pay up for events and that could hold thing's up for people want track time.
The organisers say that track time can be booked separately. I'll look into it a bit more and update the thread.

If anyone fancies this but feel it's a bit far to travel in one day I will be looking into booking a Travel Lodge for the Saturday night. They regularly do offers of £9 per night or £19 per night if you book early enough. I'll keep an eye on it.

I've also downloaded the form so it looks like I'll be organising this event.
